oh lmaoooo it's my queue tag, people often use a particular quote (could be from a book, song lyrics etc) where there's a word kind of rhyming with queue and replace that word accordingly to make the tag. the original quote is "don't do it francis", said by richard from the secret history. Posts with that tag were automatically posted by my queue so that my blog didn't have to be inactive while I was on hiatus. 💜

I revisited my feluda collection for a book challenge :) I also reread halloween party by agatha christie (which I honestly think is one of the creepiest poirot mysteries). besides those, i returned to the following 2020 reads multiple times because they were impossibly good:

SO MANY. it's always such a delight when something absolutely exceeds expectations!
the colour purple by alice walker: don't misunderstand, I didn't think it will be bad or anything, but I didn't know it was wlw. I felt like screaming into my pillow, and I think I cried a bit!
the coldest girl in coldtown by holly black: because I don't like vampire romances in general or those edgy dark modern fantasies, but this book is SO witty, well written and interesting. It has a clear vein of satiric social commentary to it which made the vampire aspect more enjoyable.
the daughter of smoke and bone trilogy by laini taylor: SO SO BEAUTIFUL. I fell in love with the strange steampunk/studio ghibli/fairytale-ish characters, the aesthetics, the writing style and the storyline. I've seldom been this invested in a fantasy series before. ONLY laini taylor is allowed to write purple prose.
the henna wars by adiba jaigirdar: I thought it will be a sugary fluffy romcom but the diasporic experience, the feeling of being a desi wlw in a white country and the interrelationships of the characters were written so poignantly it was almost too real. cried with this one too.
the hating game by sally thorne: sometimes your fave characters are privileged, unreally pretty straight white people and that's okay. jokes apart. I thought it would be a mediocre story about a white Netflix prototype couple and it is!!!!! but it it's still so fun to read and quite sexy too.
