A porter style beer from Anchor that pours into a rich dark brown that gives off the appearance of almost being black, the body of the beer is thick and creamy. The hops and malts are well balance and can be detected right away the flavors of toasted malts is strong and coats your tongue like a nice blanket as the porter wraps everything up with a nice crisp hop taste that gives the beer just the right amount of bitterness, I usually enjoy my porters to be kind of sweet but this one was spot on delicious.
