I couldn't resist! â with violet please!

âI still donât know why we have to goâŚâ
Thorton pouted to himself for what seemed to be the 500th time that night, and Violetâs eye twitched in anger as his whine reached her ears yet again. âJust because my reputation is in the shitter doesnât mean that you can just throw everything away too, Mr. Frontier,â she recited, fixing her lipstick carefully in one of the Factoryâs dusty mirrors. âYou have a legacy to uphold.â
That remark seemed to hit home, and Violet began to feel a little guilty as Thortonâs ensuing silence seemed to span eons. Turning towards her partner for the first time in an hour, the Gang Member let out a gasp as the Frontier Brain straightened his new black suit disinterestedly in the mirror, fidgeting with an electric-green tie. His admittedly handsome new look immediately triggered Violetâs teasing instincts, and she slithered over to him clothed in her familiar dress of royal purple.Â
âWhere are the codes, secret agent?â she barked from behind Thorton, grabbing both ends of his tie and tightening its hold around his neck. The Frontier Brain had a chance to roll his eyes before he began to get red in the face from the lack of oxygen. âC-come on, ViâŚknock it offâŚâ he whined, tapping her hand as if to say uncle. As the Nighthawkâs tie noose loosened, the panting Thorton sighed as Violet rewarded him with a kiss on the cheek, her dexterous fingers redoing his tie.Â
âNot gonna lie here, Skeleton BoyâŚbut I like the new look,â she murmured, standing back to admire Thortonâs sharp new appearance. âI didnât think you had any fashion sense, but youâre just full of surprises.â
âAnd youâre always full of compliments, Vi,â Thorton retorted as Violet leaned down to rest her chin on his shoulder. âYou know, we could skip the Frontier event tonight,â she began with a grin. âBut in return, I want you to act as my butler while wearing that outfit instead.â
âNo thanks,â Thorton murmured in response, a small grin on his face as he shrugged off Violetâs suggestion and headed for the door. âSuddenly, going to this thing sounds a lot betterâŚand if anything, youâd be my maid.â
âI love it when you get feisty, Skeleton BoyâŚbut donât push your luck,â Violet fired back, not allowing the Frontier Brain to see the small blush on her face as they linked hands and prepared to storm the Battle Castle as a pair once again.
