backstory

stefania’s initial reasons for joining something like this were not romantic in the least. she loves her family very much, but is constantly suffocated by their controlling and emotionally abusive tendencies. aching to be away from them, a situation that could earn her a husband seemed like the perfect opportunity to forge a life of her own while appearing to conform to their wishes- of course, she is also the type of girl that dreamed of her wedding from the time she knew what being married was, and she hasn’t been able to avoid getting her hopes up completely. deep down she longs for a loving and respectful family of any kind, whether that includes children or not. she is still on guard quite often and has a pit of fire in her belly that is often unseen; however, she can also be naive in terms of taking care of herself in the “real world”. she has numerous mental scars, but still has a lot to learn about people and how to protect herself from them. falling in love won’t fix or “save” her, but it’s something she hopes to find along the way.

i kept going back and forth on replacing bookworm with foodie, perfectionist, or loner, since they all suit her too...

unafraid to tell you what she’s thinking; 99% of the time, its nothing good

grew up in a very strict household in forgotten hollow, hence she never was allowed to leave the house much at night (or in general)

went off to a private university after being home-schooled, ended up moving to her university town afterward into a historic home

never ended up rebelling in the traditional sense, rather she internalized all her negative emotions and thus became your local evil lady down the street (don’t step onto her property! its all she asks)

since she spent most of her life at home (and now still does), she took up reading and baking as her main hobbies

is there a part of her that very secretly wants a normal happy life where she can just run a bakery and be good? there used to be

an absolute prude- she’s very modest and shows little skin on most occasions

with that being said, she probably reads romance novels often but skips the ‘steamy’ parts...i can’t stand her aoisdljkfmgh

She’s a native of Strangerville. You must have heard about the town, now imagine the girl.

Her father bequeathed her a bar. But not just any bar. See the door at the back that is always closed? Ask her what’s behind and she’ll tell you it’s a depot. But if she deems you worthy of interest, she may suggest you take a look at it ... after closing.

The bar is partly a front. Axel acts as receiver of stolen goods. Looking for something? There’s a good chance for it to be in her possession.

Having a bar requires a lot of self-help. In the first place, you have to be sociable, because no one goes to a bar where the owner is unpleasant. Then you must know how to manage your establishment and not skimp on cleanliness. Because nobody likes to drink in a disgusting glass, and having soft lights won’t be able to hide all the dust for a long time. Finally, you must also know how to impose yourself: manage the fights, the breakups and all the bad payers who think they can deceive you. Axel can do all that. And manage a clandestine shop? It's pretty much the same thing.

If Axel hasn’t done any major studies, she’s nevertheless cultivated. She reads a lot. She has a soft spot sociology (she could write a book about it, seen specimens parading in her bar) and thrillers.

If in her public relations with others Axel seems very open and approchable, it’s a little less so in private. Can we really speak of intimacy, anyway? Not really. It must be years since she had a serious relationship. Since she took over the bar, actually. No time.

She hates lipstick ... it leaves traces on the glasses. Oh, and pink. ‘Cause it’s too ... well it’s pink.

Noisy people with high-pitched voices annoy her.

A quality? She’s a good listener. A flaw? She’s harsh. A second flaw? She has trust issues (try to work with scammers, you’ll see!). A third one? Well ... it’s enough for today.

And what about that perfect date? Anything that includes nature. Hiking, swimming in waterfalls or in the ocean.

apparently candy could seem anything but mean or manipulative, she hangs out, says her parents, with good people, and as far as they know, she’s never gotten into trouble. ah, how little the parents of their children know, always amazes me. but candy is not even the " classic " bad girl - not the ones who break things and get angry with the world, no! nothing to do with this. It’s a lot easier than it looks: candy just wants to be the queen of drug dealers. our candy, you might say, has a great practicality in creating herself what she sells, going into the eye of others - a girl like her, could never be the " pink queen " of which everyone talks! “ smile, talk, smile and move your hand “ she says, no one can reach you!
