Why do straight ppl automatically think everyone is like them? 😩 It's exhausting and honestly kinda painful to have to be either erased or have to come out constantly

!!!!!!
YEAH IT’S ALL HAPPENING SO FAST but yess
This anon is so ridiculous. They're ignoring so many sides of this. They're such a difference between the Air Force and, say, the Army. And there's an even bigger difference between deciding to serve as a doctor in the Air Force (which often means...
(cont.) flying across the world to care for soldiers and civilians) and volunteering to be infantry in a violent and politically fucked up war. And even those who choose the latter do it for so many reasons. Like the fact that the American public is lowkey brainwashed when it comes to foreign relations. And the pressure so many face by their family.
Like this issue is so multi-faceted and involves so many different people, and despite the institution itself being so incredibly problematic and destructive, people also have to realize that doesn’t reflect the values of millions of service members, esp. being someone who chooses to be, like you said, a doctor.
amyleona said: It so does to me. I’ve gained since starting recovery and I def prefer it. Being close to skinny was way too weird for me.
Yeah??? Every time I've lost a lot of significant amount of weight a big fear for me was that I'd have this really alien body that I wasn't used to? I'm very comfy with my body as my body, it's just being force fed all those messages about being unhealthy (WHEN I ACTUALLY AM HEALTHY THANK U VERY MUCH) and being ugly/unloved that can really get u down... I just feel comfy with more padding ha ha ha, idk. Also, so much congratulations and props to you for starting recovery and sticking this long with it, you are powerful and strong and I really admire how far you've come!! it's amazing!
Cooking is actually really helpful for my ADD, but only if I'm doing a few things. It gives me a good outlet while being able to jump tasks. If I have any extra time, I clean or do dishes so I'm not too bored (Nutrition major and future chef)

amyleona right now I'm in KY with family so no, but when I get back to Eugene there's a UU congregation near me I keep thinking about. Have more or less been unchurched for the last 5 years other than when I'm in KY at grandma's house. Grew up CoC. Might have to actually try it out. That or UCC have kinda been my potential options.
amyleona said: Self-diagnosing can be a great thing! If we all waited for providers to tell us what we have, most of us would be nowhere. Please try not to worry about what others will think (that’s a common anxiety symptom), and focus on taking care of yourself.
This is really helpful advice, thanks so much!
Thank you so much for making this blog! I've really hoped for a blog that would post this stuff.
I'm glad you like it!
And if you or anyone else finds or creates something that they want to share, please do! The whole point of this blog is not just for me to post things I find important to aromanticism, but for it to be a place for people to share their own thoughts and opinions and stories as well. :)
