Chain Reaction // Carrow Twins
Alecto had been spending most of her time in her room when she was home at the manor since things had seemed rather...off between herself and her brother lately. She didnât know what was wrong, or how to fix it, which concerned her more than she was letting on. But Alecto was the type of person who pushed any emotions away instead of confronting them except for when she was dealing with Amycus. He was her other half, and thus he had the ability to reach her when no one else could. It was a twin connection thing, they both just had an innate understanding of one another at all times.
But things hadnât been right since the summer, not since the night he killed that muggle. She had been afraid that he was going to do something like that again and wind up in Azkaban or worse, and the fact that he had been slowly pulling away from her little by little scared her. It made her think that he was hiding something, or doing something that he shouldnât be doing and he didnât want to tell her, but she had no proof of that. There was no way to know what he was ever doing if she wasnât around, if she asked he more than likely wouldnât tell if he thought that she wouldnât approve.
Suddenly her door banged open and she didnât even bother to look up. She could already sense that it was her brother, and while she didnât appreciate him banging her door open, if he had something he wanted to say, he would say it, she had no need to get up and do something to greet him. Besides, she was in the middle of doing something. âYou know, you could just knock on the door,â she commented not looking up from the magazine she was leafing through, not really paying attention to what Amycus was doing.
