How did you get diagnosed? I have been looking into this process but I am quite confused. Also hopes these labels assist rather than hinder you in your life
Hey there! š
Iām based in Canada, so the healthcare system may be different where you are, but I got diagnosed by going to my GP and asking to be referred! My primary goal for diagnosis was to get diagnosed for ADHD so I asked to be referred to a place which specialised in diagnosing that. Here, you have to be referred to see one of those specialists so thatās why seeing a GP was necessary
From there, I made a series of appointments over a few months- one to get assessed and one to get diagnosed. Itās best to book appointments for specialists asap because they have long waiting lists- I only just booked my appointment to start ADHD medication (Jan 22) and I had to book in March bc that was the earliest time they had!
Anyway, the assessment process was fairly straight-forward. I was lucky enough to be referred to a place which could diagnose other conditions (OCD, autism, etc) in addition to ADHD. My main tip for your assessment is to be aware of your symptoms and communicate them to the person assessing you. This isnāt the time to be shy or to downplay your symptoms- they can only know what you tell them!
If you have further questions, feel free to send another ask! Good luck with your diagnosis š š

Due to a knee injury the only thing i have had on my legs has been a full length pleated black skirt which still swirls over my huge leg brace. Thought of you as I vaguely tried to style it.
Honestly, if it goes swoosh enough then youāve already found the style
(also I hope your knee is better soon!)

Have you started the translated book? Is it any good?
i read a few chapters a while ago, but i havenāt read further because back then reading a 500-something page norwegian book felt too intimidating. i remember liking it though, and i want to get back into it!

How would you describe it?
itās salty-sweet and everyone describes it as like caramel, which I agree with but itās not as sweet as that in my opinion. and i can totally see why it gets paired with both sweet and savory foods bc to me it sits right in the middle! itās kinda hard to describe but i hope this makes sense lol
