I think my favorite part about the new TAZ episode is that, whenever there was a scene transition, Griffin would cut away to a group of people on Earth fighting back - Pidgeon and the police department, Muffy and Winthrop, or people at the Cryptonomica - before cutting back to the main plot. Griffin refused to just let Earth's fight go unwritten.
I guess there's just something inherently empowering about seeing normal people fighting off this supernatural threat, that they don't even fully understand and are relatively unqualified to fight, and actually winning.
I don't know, it's just cool.

I have many Feelings™ about this episode but one thing that stood out to me was Ned’s full name

like Australian’s most famous outlaw, a guy who survived a police shootout because he was wearing bulletproof armour while the rest of his gang were killed which is ironic because our Ned was the only casualty this episode while the rest of his team were okay and whose legacy is still hotly debated because most people either see him as a folk hero or as someone who got exactly what he deserved
but most importantly can we talk about this quote from IRL Ned Kelly because it applies to Ned Chicane so perfectly and it gives me even more feelings:
“I do not pretend that I have led a blameless life, or that one fault justifies another, but the public in judging a case like mine should remember that the darkest life may have a bright side...”
Ned Chicane always knew he wasn’t flawless but he also wasn’t a bad guy and if the residents of Kepler don’t remember him as one of the good guys I will CRY
