Perhaps one of the biggest regrets on the very first day of his arrival was spending the entirety of his wealth upon food and drink the moment he'd arrived. Of course he hadn't known of what was to come after he'd left the last bar drained dry of his funds but lack of foresight and a privileged thirst for fun had warped his mind considerably it seemed. For after finishing off the last of his wine he'd gone in search of the carriages meant to transport folk to and from each borough only to find himself upon a busier street than the last, a street which was full to the brim with women. Clothes from this realm, even clothes he recognised, wherever he cast his gaze he found himself looking upon beauty. Yet he was poor. He had nothing. The clothes upon his back and the wooden replica he'd been given in exchange for his prized blade. What luck.
Before approaching a market stall where a handful of girls gossiped and cooed at one another, Sharrkan paused. For a moment he could have sworn that he'd heard a familiar eruption of awkward laughter from somewhere beyond the third stall down. Then again, nervous laughter in the company of women was hardly unusual. Still, for a moment it had been something familiar. Something reminiscent. He proceeded to approach the women, soon after learning that they were not that way inclined, much to his own disappointment and amusement, thus was returned to square one: poor, somewhat lost and without good company.
There...that laugh had rung out again. A male laugh that he felt sure he knew. He approached the sound, passing several women and offering them the best of his hurried smiles until he caught sight of a familiar head of blond. Of course there was likely a more proper way to approach one's own student but having spent several hours, and several dollars, on alcohol, proper ways of doing things were a thing of the past. Uncaring that the only familiar face he knew was distracted by the pair of women before him, Sharrkan jabbed a finger into the small of Alibaba's back, playfully prodding with a single digit before grinning at him as though they'd known of each other's presence all along.
" What do you think you're doing here, Alibaba? I guess this is where you ran off to after all, hm... "
The specifics of why and how were abandoned in that brief moment as Sharrkan ruffled the hair atop Alibaba's head, setting his hairstyle askew.
