Sam ducked into the doorway, clicking a flashlight on as he glanced around the house. It was overgrown with weeds on the outside, but not too shabby on the inside, apparently. 

He'd come to look for a Tulpa, and this was were it resided. He didn't think anyone lived there. 

Dean was off searching for the Tulpa's creators, so Sam was on his own.

He padded through the building, looking around. He kept one hand trailing on the gun tucked in the back of his pants. The other occupied the flashlight he was shining around the walls and ground.

He started when he heard a thump of footsteps, turning just in time to be hit with a bat in the head.
