For the most part I’ve been on vacation this week, I had a wonderful vacation and overall I felt like I even learned more about marketing techniques big corporations are using. In Universal Studios, for example, the Butterbeer served in Harry Potter’s world is Trademarked so the recipe can never be changed, in fact it’s meant for everyone to enjoy so they can not even serve an alcoholic version. I thought that was quite interesting. I’d actually enjoy learning more about marketing techniques both Universal and Disney use, I’d like to take a class on it.
On the internet side, I’ve noticed how misleading products can be on Amazon. For the most part I’ve had good experience on Amazon; however, recently I purchased 4 pairs of pants. They were insanely small, and from some no name brand in China. The sizing chart and quality of the material was very off. Over $60 I’m owed in refunds and I already know the refunding is going to be a nightmare. I believe sellers should be expected to be held to a certain standard on Amazon and they should be flagged to warn other customers from making a purchase.
