U11s won their first game of the season!!!!! Thank you to our wonderful team sponsor @s.implypurity The team was so excited to earn their first win of the season, winning 4-3. Their success came from amazing team work, wonderful passes and even better defence. The girls should be extremely proud of their efforts….Lara and Amira played beautifully together; supporting each other in the shooting circle, with both of them scoring. Though she was the shortest in the circle Amira managed to provide several second attempts at goal with her strong rebounding skills. Our midcourt of Ava, Ariana, SJ and Leilani disrupted the oppositions play with all of them gaining intercepts throughout the gain. However, the standout for this weekend was our defensive effort across the whole court. Much of this is accredited to our two defenders Sophia and Darcy who supported each other in defence and gaining multiple intercepts, rebound and deflections. They were very quick to adapt to changes made in oppositions attacking, which won back a lot of ball. All eight of these girls had an awesome game and displayed their improvement for this season.
