further ol book thoughts. i'd forgotten about my gay kings ewan and keith from flight of the heron (pleated rivarly, as it were) but i continue to be stunned (i mean this in the funniest most unserious possible way) by how completely dg stole those characters wholesale. i never really noticed in the show bc it fell on unfamiliar ears but in the book it's clear that jamie's accent is not supposed to be super thick unless he's upset/tired/etc etc. you know else who was Shocked by the Eloquent English of his Inconveniently Handsome And Intelligent Captore?
