Amaryllis works as the host and main maid for her sister and her Bed and Breakfast in the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Oconee County, South Carolina. As the oldest of the siblings, Amaryllis has a tendency to be a little bossy toward her younger sister; however, when it comes to the financing and general day to day ordering, Ama defers to Ivy in an instant. Even when they were younger, Amaryllis had no issue letting her younger sister take the lead when she faltered in knowing what to do. While Ama can under no circumstances be called unintelligent, she can be, however, called more street intelligent than book smart. School was forever a struggle for Ama as she spent more time dreaming of life outdoors than what the square root of fifteen might be.
After highschool, Amaryllis married her sweetheart. Sadly, the relationship was doomed to fail when it came to light that her husband was more suited to drinking and abuse than he was to being a husband. After miscarrying, Amaryllis filed for divorce and never looked back. Returning home to the bed and breakfast, picking up where she’d left off, and falling back into such a routine it was almost like she’d never left.
When their parents retired from running the Azalea Bluffs Bed and Breakfast due to failing health, the sisters took over the family business to keep it from leaving the family. If one’s looking for a relaxing stay away from the hecticness of life and close to a lake, Amaryllis will be more than happy to book you a room and cook you the best meal you’ll ever eat.
