Amarie who wasn’t allowed to go with the Noldor yet clearly wished to. Amarie who has faith and compassion and spirit, and is not going to sit idly by in a golden paradise bubble and ignore the suffering going on outside in the wide world.
Amarie who begins immediately petitioning and pleading with the Valar for mercy and compassion for those who have gone and those who still dwell in Middle-earth.
Amarie who moves to Tirion and is given one of Finrod’s old houses to live in by his parents and invited to dinner with them frequently.
Amarie who goes to her old teacher Nerdanel to comfort and grieve with her and make sure she is not left alone too often. Amarie who helps Nerdanel create a memorial space for her seven sons and husband where she can sit and think of them. Amarie leaves soft blue forget me nots and deep crimson poppies most often at the spot for Makalaure, her dear childhood friend.
Amarie who does not cease to speak for the Noldor even when others advise her not to.
Amarie who feels Finrod’s death and breaks down weeping at Nienna’s feet begging for mercy and compassion. Nienna who comforts her and tells her not to give up hope, that there is much she can do for those she loves even from Valinor.
Amarie, golden, joyful, laughing Amarie, who everyone is surprised to hear has gone to learn from Nienna, and then to Lorien to aid those who have been deeply hurt and need compassion. Amarie who learns to heal and comfort, to listen and understand.
Amarie who runs and throws herself into Finrod’s arms sobbing when he is returned and finds her in Lorien and refuses to let him go for a very long time. Amarie who listens to all Finrod has to tell her of what has happened in Middle-earth with tears in her eyes, holding his hand tightly. Amarie who holds Finrod when he weeps for his family who he left behind with his death, and mourns with him.
Amarie who is convinced to give a concert for it has been ages since she has preformed. She agrees and at the end of the concert she sings the song Finrod has taught her, the song that has been composed in Middle-earth by her dearest friend, the song that has not echoed through Valinor until now. The song full of anguish and pain, of defiance against the dark, of heroic deeds and the tragic turns. Amarie sings the Noldolante, and there are no dry eyes in the audience by the time she has finished.
Amarie and Finrod who are not allowed to go to Middle-earth when the host departs, and their hearts break again when Finarfin returns without his nephews or Galadriel and only a tragic tale to give them. Many in Valinor assume that it all ends with Morgoth’s imprisonment but for Amarie and the Noldor it is not over as Sauron’s shadow rises to take his master’s place, and there are still family and friends in Middle-earth who are in need of mercy.
Amarie who once again begins to petition the Valar. Neither Maglor or Galadriel’s names are given from Mandos as having passed into the halls over the ages, though Celebrimbor’s eventually is.
Amarie to whom the returned bring new verses of the Noldolante as the years pass and she continues to preform Maglor’s song as it grows and grows. Requests for her to sing Maglor’s song continue to pour in, and she continues to sing it to packed audiences.
Amarie who yet again goes to petition the Valar for Maglor and Galadriel’s return. When she has spoken she then sings Maglor’s song for them, and they are moved to tears. She asks again for mercy and forgiveness, her own cheeks wet with tears, and Nienna enfolds her in her arms and at last, after so many long years, Amarie is given the answer she has been waiting for.
Maglor who returns home at long last in the company of the ring bearers, his little cousin and adopted son having convinced him to trust them and come. Maglor who is frail and tired and worn thin by the long ages and the burdens he has carried but has held on to life with both hands out of sheer stubbornness for those he loves.
Maglor who is deeply drained and hurt in spirit, and knows without the gentle suggestions from those closest to him that he should seek healing in Lorien but still hesitates. He does not want to share his grandmothers fate, he does not know if Lorien will be open to one such as him, even after so long. Maglor who at last agrees to go and is escorted there by Galadriel, Elrond, and Finrod, who promises that there is someone trustworthy who will remain with Maglor throughout his stay, someone who is familiar with Lorien and helping those who need healing there.
Maglor who stares at the figure waiting for them at the entrance of Lorien, a figure clad in the soft misty gray clothing of one of Nienna’s followers, with bright golden hair under her silken veil, and tears on her face and a smile as radiant as the sun. Maglor who begins to weep when Amarie enfolds him in her arms and they cling to each other, laughing and crying.
Amarie who whispers to her dear friend she never gave up on, “Welcome home.”
