Meanwhile, because Amara has the uncontrollable hissing trait, she eventually hissed mid-dinner causing everyone to become uncomfortable with her. Being a lady, of course, she left the room. 

Once the dinner was done, Merinn felt a bit bad for what happened and went to see her.

Merinn: Hey, may I sit with you?

Amara: Well, of course your highness.

Merinn: I’m sorry for what happened. I’m afraid the other suitors didn’t know they’d be sharing the table with a vampire.

Amara: Oh, do not worry, your highness, I am quite used to that happening.

Merinn: I see. Rather bad quirk to have.

Amara: I know. But power comes with it’s consequences. I have a feeling that is something you yourself know off.

Merinn: -nervous- Huh... Yes, wouldn’t be doing this, otherwise. 

Amara: *looks over at Sully's phone* Daddy? I thought your dad left?

Sully: *picks up phone and looks Amara directly in the eye* Hello, Ben.

Amara: That picture? Why… that was a time. Wasn’t that a time? An entire opera house, the music- lights. And how we danced! I’ve always loved dancing.

Off-Screen: We?

Arama: Caleb, my dear Caleb. That was one of our last moments together. We left the opera house in absolute carnage. It was riveting. But that was a long time ago. I’ve been nearly a century without a companion.

Off-Screen: That sounds lonely.

Amara: Mon cher, loneliness is a moral condition. I have found success as a model, philanthropist, and actress at different stages of my life. Now that we’re out of the coffin, so to speak, I want a true partnership. I was Caleb’s maker. Nothing more. Next question?

Amara has lived. How long? Well, you never ask a lady her true age, but it’s safe to assume that Amara is ancient. For the majority of her recent history, she has been in the company of Caleb Vatore, the one vampire she sired. The two were notorious during their time together, mostly known for their... let’s say insatiable appetite. However, after a rather explosive falling out, the two have been separated for quite some time. 

After having found success as a model, singer, actress,  philanthropist... the list could honestly continue for ages- Amara is ready to open herself up to find love, a true partnership, and  Merinn has more than caught her eye.
