your boyfriend is the leader of the phantom thieves, always looking cool and effortless when he's fighting and it seems like nothing can phase him!

however, you know that your boyfriend has one weakness: you! or more specifically, sudden affection from you!

it's amusing how quickly your boyfriend can go from being the coolest and most relaxed person in the room to a flustered and blushing mess!

especially when you're out with your friends, whether it's hanging out after school or fighting in mementos, you love to find moments to catch ren off guard!

he'll be explaining the strategy going forward on how to fight the oncoming shadows within mementos, when you suddenly pull him into a kiss and shut him up within seconds

you're not sure if he even notices, but ren always freezes for a couple seconds afterwards, standing completely still as his cheeks turn red, before he snaps back into reality and mumbles out something like “w-what was i just saying…?”

you make sure to only use that technique on him when the stakes are low! you'd never do such a thing before a big fight or within a palace. but during training in mementos, you like to mess with him occasionally…

and it's entertaining for the other phantom thieves as well! especially ryuji and ann tease ren about how flustered you manage to make him!

that was until ren joined your class. you assumed he was nothing but a delinquent and stayed away from him. but when the first exam came up, he was dangerously close to getting the top grade in class! only a few points were missing and he would've beat you…

you clearly had underestimated him, but that only pushed you harder to study! you couldn't let some guy with a criminal record beat you! you were always the best in your class and you intended for things to stay that way!

the first time ren managed to get the same amount of points in a test as you was when you first got to talk to him. he actually congratulated you on your hard work and good grade, but to you, it seemed like he was mocking you…

you always tried to keep your distance from him and only focus on studying, but ren had other ideas! he actually wanted to get closer to you, requesting you as his tutor for an upcoming exam

begrudgingly, you accepted his request. and during that little study date, you actually got to talk a lot more to him and began to realize he was quite the smart guy – if his grades hadn't given that away by now!

however, even as you grew a little fond of him, your dislike for him returned as soon as ren suggested a little competition between the two of you: if he gets the better grade on the next exam, to kiss him! and if you win, he does whatever you say

while you had expected to outclass him with ease, the next exam got closer and even with all the studying you did, ren actually ended up beating you by a single point!

when you met in the library after school that day, ren took you to a more secluded spot, to cash in his price for winning. hiding behind some bookshelves, he stole a kiss from you. and surprisingly, you didn't end up hating it as much as you expected to…

you would've never found out if it wasn't for you falling asleep during a study session with the rest of the phantom thieves. because by the time you woke up, it was 2am and ren and you were all alone at le blanc

surprisingly, he had stayed up with you the entire time, just waiting for you to wake up, so he could walk you home. but since it had gotten so late, he decided to let you stay over for the night

only that you weren't really sleepy anymore. so ren went downstairs to make a coffee for himself, so the two of you could stay awake together. and that's when a certain song started playing on the radio…

you were quietly humming along to it, walking up and down the cafe and twirling around from time to time, while waiting for ren to make his coffee. until he suddenly popped up behind you after one of your twirls

“can i have this dance~?” he asked with a grin, his hand reached out towards you. and you couldn't deny that request…

while you thought you two would simply make a few steps here and there, not taking this too seriously, you were surprised to find that ren actually knew what he was doing! he knew how to dance properly!

he ended up taking the lead and every time you missed a step and mumbled out a small “sorry”, he just smiled at you softly and assured you that it was fine

the distance between you two kept closing and even as the song ended, the two of you continued dancing. and you likely would've danced the entire night, if it wasn't for the coffee machine starting to make loud noises, that snapped the two of you back to reality!

as ren rushed to his coffee, to quiet down the machine, you simply stood in the middle of le blanc, a blush on your face, as you suddenly started seeing ren in a different light…

ren and you were in an empty classroom, his shirt lifted, exposing his chest to you, as you gently traced your fingers over his skin. it was a very intimate scene, making it an odd sight from afar, but if people were to look closely, they'd see you simply inspecting ren's tattoo. however, you seemed to be blissfully unaware of how this situation might look to others.

“huh…?” you tilted your head softly. “what do you mean?”

ren couldn't help but chuckle quietly, before brushing it all off with a wave of his hand.

“oh, nothing… forget it~!”
