BRUCITUL este un hidroxid de magneziu, cu o duritate de 2.5 – 3 pe scara Mohs., care cristalizeaza in sistem trigonal. Acesta apare sub forma de agregate masive, de cristale plate sau tabulare si uneori sub forma de rozeta. AMAKINITE

Colour: pale green, yellow-green, turns brown when exposed to air.

Found in: Germany, Russia

Named after the Amakin Expedition, which prospected the Yakutian diamond deposits. This mineral should be kept in a well sealed container due to rust formation. It is very probable that none of the original form of this material now exists because it has possible all altered over time. Amakinite is said to enable energy that stimulates project initiation, imagination, organic growth and new inventions. This is said to happen within around 10 metres of the stone.  However, it can have a small side effect of making one who is already focussed, feel unsteady.
