After being scolded by Munkustrap for scratching Grizabella, Pouncival and Tumblebrutus huddle in disgrace - and when Demeter tries to approach Tumblebrutus, Pouncival cuts her off. A strange bit of interaction - made even stranger by the fact that she looks chastised, rather than ignoring or scolding him as a silly kitten.

This is Oasis/RCCL cast 4 (2016), in which Pete Simpson (Tumblebrutus) and Alyson Larkin (Demeter) built something like romance between their characters. Is Pouncival jealous, perhaps? Or just grumpy about being told off?

Pouncival is Thomas Bedford, Grizabella is Angela Calo.

There are (currently) six posts on instagram under the tag ‘tumblemeter’. They are all by Pete Simpson, from when he played Tumblebrutus on Oasis/RCCL in 2016. He and Alyson Larkin (Demeter) obviously came up with a bit of backstory and had a lot of fun with the pairing.
