need remus to be miserable and repressed and pretending to be straight more often. need to make him never even consider his sexuality bc he doesnât think a monster like him should date anyway so why does it matter. make him think heâs just jealous of sirius. make her catholic and nauseous with guilt. make her a straight laced straight As cheerleader with a boyfriend. make him wake up from sex dreams like theyâre nightmares and crywank in the shower. make him weird about jamesâ hugs. make her a âstraight girlâ that kisses girls while drunk. miserable and delicious i tell you.
Not sure how organized my thoughts on this are, but after rewatching the "To Ashes and Blood" fight in 2x03 "Finally Got the Name Right," I'm really thinking about the connections between Jinx and Janna.
The official lyrics for "To Ashes and Blood" include translations for the chanted bits, Shuriman prayers to the goddess Janâahrem (Janna):
Beyond these walls, the storm's fury grows Over land and sea, the storm's fury grows But I have nothing to fear! For the blue bird is with me
Janna is the patron goddess of Zaun, revered for blowing away the toxic Grey smog as it choked the Zaunite miners. And I think it's interesting that Jinx confronts Vi and Caitlyn in Janna's old cathedral, and their final confrontation happens under her watching gaze.
In the literal sense, Vi and Caitlyn are blown away when Sevika opens the turbines, but symbolically they're swept away after violating Janna's protection of the people of Zaun, and the three Zaunites (Sevika, Jinx, and Isha) remain, clinging to Janna's alter.
It seems like Jinx is taking on a maybe not exactly religious symbolism to the people of Zaun, but a similar role as a powerful entity who stood up for Zaun and its people when no one else would; Zaun's patron saint if not patron goddess.
The Arcane is waking up and new prophets are arising, and in a world where magic is real and genuine belief is very powerful, I'm wondering what might happen.
Iâm going to the conservatory and the zoo tomorrow; treating myself like a blue-haired senior who needs to be bused from her retirement home to on weekends for cultural enrichment.

âI hope no wolves in sheep skin are around, that would be most unpleasant.â the duplicitous doodle

ooughhh the parallels between davos seaworth wearing his own fingerbones around his neck versus jaime being forced to wear his cut off hand around his neck⌠the first being a reminder of davosâs love and admiration for stannis and the second being a symbol of jaimeâs humiliation and powerlessness. davos cherishing the the memory of his kingâs justice versus jaime being shackled by justice (becoming permanently disfigured after setting the seriesâ events in motion by permanently disfiguring bran and saying death would be better than being disabled). davos seeing stannis as his new god versus jaime being punished for crying for his daddy because he still sees tywin lannister as a god who can protect and save him and when that illusion is shattered he decides to die instead. davos finding faith and jaime losing it. the beginning of davosâs knighthood and what jaime thinks is the end of his
