Yeah, it's RaM reference.

Wanda:

Wanda is a time traveler, duh. Knows about events that haven't happened. Like WW2, and the pandemic, and other things like that. She tries not to spoil the future and other meta aspects. Like, she has a responsibility not to spoil it to cause paradoxes. Wortox disagrees with her. He thinks it's fine. What harm is it gonna do? They're just a few humans, even if they manage to leave. They argue over this a lot. He just likes messing with her. They kind of have an old married couple vibes. He jokingly flirts with her and calls her babe but it feels more platonic. Confuses some of the other survivors though. She also really likes time puns. She doesn't really remember much about her life before she started time traveling and all this crazy stuff. Which is kinda sad.

Wortox is an imp, which is a different species from a human. He's not actually stuck in the constant or anything, and can dimension hop. The Krampi in the constant are different from the ones he hung out with. Similar, but it's not the same guy. He doesn't really like eating souls. He hangs out in the constant because he likes the survivors. He thinks they're fun mortals. He's not mortal. He can still be killed, but.... I mean, death isn't the same for him. He has a sort of detachment to it. He follows the same rules the survivors do cause he wants to fit in with them. He doesn't feel like he fits in anywhere. He's weird, especially now. His diet of souls is...strange for other imps. Generally frowned upon. They all collect souls, but eating them was considered gross. Imps are kind of expected to be interested in mortal culture and all that, and their homes are even more like a temporary reprieve. But he hardly ever goes home or sees other imps. It just reminds him of his mistakes. Fusing with a soul eater? How gross. That's why he stays in the constant with these other strange people. At least here he can help lighten up their moods. Do something good. He likes messing around with silly and pointless stuff. Like memes. And he can summon tablets and stuff with internet. Wanda gets onto him about this. He especially teaches the other Paid Characters, and Wanda is a little less harsh about them. He can't use his powers to like let them leave or anything. Imps have a certain level of non-interference. He also is kinda detached from that struggle they go through. Also about his gender. He is Imp male, which is different from human male, and also the way they categorize animals. Like there's a difference. He's no biologist so he doesn't get into it.

Wurt is legitmatly racist. She acknowleges it and is proud of it. Wortox was the one who told her what it was called. She views all humans as objectivally lesser, although she doesn't wish their complete eradication like for the pigs. She's also not racist against human races, so it's not like she sees a difference in value between Willow and Warly. She's very narcississtic, and thinks she is better than everyone. She doesn't really bring it up in everyday conversation, and is nice, but that's what she beleives and will tell you if you ask her. She still likes the survivors. But more like you like a cute pet. Merms don't have genders, but when she was found and they asked if she was a girl or a boy, she didn't know what that meant. She asked which was more powerful, and Willow told her girls are because they're queens. Walter told her they were the same, and neither one was better or worse. Willow quoted Spider Queens, Bee Queens, the Shadow Queen, so Wurt decided to be a girl because it was more powerful. Also we can't forget the chess thing. But as for what Wurt is! It's different. It's a great headcanon. So you know how she's different from other merms. So here's my theory.

Of course, she's a descendant of those who failed the gorge. Also, creatures in the constant canonically respawn, because death works differently there. They like reincarnate and also age super fast. Anyway. I'll talk about Merms specifically. So creatures here also evolve super fast. She's a very smart merm. Was always very smart, but she used to look like just any other merm. Her original form, which came into being pre-Maxwell, because that's how it worked. Maxwell entering did something to the reproductive cycle of the creatures here. But yeah. Her original instance was probably spawned from a particularly cognizant pair (or maybe not pair) of merms. So she had that intelligence. But when the survivors arrived and started killing merms, they started to evolve. She observed that those who were slower were killed more often. So through death and reincarnation, she became faster. She did the same thing with strength, cause she saw it gave her a better shot at survival. The smaller merms were more easily able to not be spotted, so she got smaller. This is when she started getting pretty good at surviving. And she had seen the survivors survive vicious beatings, and even die and come back immediately, with no incubation period. They were good. Out of every creature here, they were the best at surviving. Her survival instincts told her that if she was more like them, she would survive better. So she kept trying. Through iterations, she got smaller. Faster. Her body proportions changed to try to match theirs. She observed them, and noticed animal companions. Plus, the way they worked together made them more effective killers. They communicated a lot, and were productive. She tried to imitate their way of speech. She tried to imitate everything about them. Wearing things on their head seemed to help them be stronger, so she grew horns. They were pretty useful and she liked them, so she kept them. She noticed they had to eat, so she started learning how to eat. She developed an inventory, which all creatures already had but she made hers bigger to match theirs. She trained herself to have sanity. She strengthened her grip to be able to hold things. At this point, she had no intention with joining up with them. She was simply learning from them. But when she discovered Wickerbottom's book in that short, she started imagining being able to rule like that. She learned about teamwork. she couldn't read, but looked at the pictures. Teamwork could make her stronger. And then merms could all make themselves stronger? That sounded awesome. She took pride in being a merm, after all. Even if she felt the other merms were stupid for not evolving like her. She could rise up mermkind to this level. This would truly be her ultimate triumph. So she started integrating herself with them. They accepted her into their fold, and she learned to become stronger. Dodging, armor, crafting. And Wortox taught her strange things too. Now she plays COD and knows about some stuff even the survivors don't. She loves using Wortox's illegal other world tech. She doesn't hold a grudge against the survivors. That was just survival of the fittest. That's why she can even kill merms. They'll evolve even stronger.

And finally, Wormwood. A lot of naturalistic lore in this one too. First of all, he's a plant. So, he can talk to plants. He was brought to life by Alter. The shadows had done it, so how hard could it be? Boom. A perfect test. Then Alter moved on. Alter had tried a little too hard though, and Wormwood was now sentient. Was this intentional? Who knows! It doesn't matter. And Alter would certainly take credit for it. Look, they were the ones who made a sentient being. Not the shadows. They were clearly better. Charlie, who was in charge of the shadows at that point, did not care about Alter's petty rivalry. But back to Wormwood. He was confused about what he was at first, but settled in with the plants. Although, since he was mobile, he could go out and pollinate. So while he was doing that, he stumbled across the rest of Hamlet. The creatures didn't recognize him as plant, since he moved, and attacked. He died. But Charlie had been noticing him. Despite never seeing one before, he moved like a human. And as he ventured out, he became more and more human-like. He started picking things up, developing an inventory. And hunger. Sanity too! Despite what Charlie had said earlier, she had to admit this was pretty dang impressive. Alter didn't even have a human mind attached either. Was human influence seeping deeper in to the Constant? Pigs didn't have hunger or sanity. When Wormwood died, he died like humans did. Leaving behind a skeleton. And...a soul? That was amazing. Alter didn't care what happened of course. They had finished making what they wanted. But Charlie was fascinated. This plant had a life and a soul. Her human side was still empathetic. So of course, she used her powers to put him in the revive cycle the other survivors were in. When Charlie linked up the survivors, she sent him to be with them too. And they all started calling him a boy. He does not care. He is a plant. The creatures of the constant have no gender. Anyway, Wormwood is a sweetie, cheerful and childlike. He is not an actual child, of course. He also doesn't care much about if plants are destroyed or not. And he eats them fine. That's survival. He's a part of nature and knows that. You consume or be consumed. He loses sanity when doing it himself, and gains sanity when planting seeds. But it's more of a guilt thing. Anyway, he's sweet, but again, doesn't care much about death. Or much of anything. ALSO. About Alter. There's literally no feelings towards them. Like, no problem killing, no problem letting go. They aren't family or anything. Plants don't have family. Wormwood doesn't even really have much emotions. He just pretends. He likes pretending.
