rearranging, reinvigorating
today I repotted my pilea into a larger, glazed container and separated some of her babies into their own clay pots. they are adorable, mini-versions of the mother plant, but much healthier looking, too -- the mother outgrew her old pot, but I procrastinated on moving her since I knew it would be an ordeal. she dropped a few leaves in the move, which I regretted, but she’s looking much happier now with fresh soil and plenty of space.
on my altar, I now have the mother pilea and 3 of her babies (potted separately), 2 silver dollar eucalyptus pots (brought inside for winter), a rather fussy string of pearls, two echevaria, a chocolate soldier, and a frustratingly leggy polka dot plant. i had to move my jade bonsai away from the altar/window because the cold was making her uncomfortable. no surprise there :)
today i’m also heading to the market to pick up some more beeswax candles, both for my altar and for gifts. they’re from a small businesses that I love to support, with such reasonable prices ($7) and lovely scents! my boyfriend has some errands to run, so that means i’ll just get to browse, unrushed, uninterrupted. it’s the little things these days that i look forward to most.
