Gentle, gentle, lips press against your cheek & JOY grips mouth’s corners, forcing them upward into a dorky grin, unstoppable. Unexpected, surprise leaves him discombobulated, puzzled, yet a piece of him rings with knowledge, understanding, fighting against that which struggles to comprehend. Vulnerable – mind has lost the strength in its disorganization & he collapses to vulnerability’s feet, weak, unstable. Yet, still, he stands, hands gripped, shoved in each pocket of cardigan’s stitching. 

He cannot help but watch after notice is taken of another’s arrival, another’s affectionate display (for it is not so often in which these situations do occur) & Lance is overtaken by what he feels, yet striving further from embarrassment’s creation. 

Arm stretches forth, fingers releasing from fabric prison and grasping about Keith’s shoulder as he would bring him in for a hug. Arms wrap around him & still he smiles, full & proud, as one hand reaches to ruffle the unwashed mess of a haircut Keith seems to wear with so much ease. A loving gesture, & he searches for Keith’s next reaction.

ammmyyy you’ve been a friend of mine for over four years now which is super impressive given how easy it is to lose contact w/ online friends like [ //snaps ], through no one’s fault but drifting happens y’know? but here we are, years later, wading through various fandoms together and listening to one another rant in the middle of the fckn night about fictional characters we know nothing about 70% of the time and I’m just ?? so glad that you’ve found yourself enjoying my presence this long, particularly b/c I know i’ve enjoyed every minute I’ve spent with you. 

It’s been a real pleasure watching you and your talents grow over the years, which I’ve told you numerous times, but I really mean it? Your writing and your art has never been bad but I can see the leaps and bounds you’ve made since we first met in every new piece you dish out, whether it be a piece of fanart or a thread or whatever else and it’s incredible to me? You’ve put so much time and effort into bettering the things you do and it shows, Amy, it really shows, it’s like meeting someone midway up a mountain and then watching them fucking sprint to the top and I can only watch you with awe because holy shit?? Watching you, my best friend, undertake this huge journey has always made me want to improve myself and you’ve always been just this phenomenally large source of inspiration in my life ( not only in the arts but hey I’ll get to that in a mo’ ) and I genuinely don’t think I’ve be where I am with my writing and my RPing if it weren’t for meeting you and having the absolute honor of seeing your growth up close and personal. 

You’ve inspired me in other ways of course and I’m honestly not sure where I”d be as a whole if not for you. You are, without a doubt, one of the strongest people I know, Amy. I have watched you go through so much and slip and stumble and fall over your life and every single time you’ve dragged yourself back up, grit your teeth, and grinned while telling the world to kiss your ass. Even at your lowest moments you find things to reach for and you push yourself onward and while I, of course, wish you didn’t have to go through the things you’ve been through and would do anything to take any and all of the weight off your shoulders, watching you persevere has been ??? a really surreal and awe inspiring experience for me and I’ve always found myself really honored and touched that I’m someone you’ve felt comfortable enough coming to during your struggles for advice/venting/etc because I know how hard it can be to let people see all the details of what’s going on and you ?? let me ?? you didn’t have to, we both know I wouldn’t have held it against you, but you did and I feel like we became a lot closer through the moments in which you shared your struggles with me and I, in turn, shared my own with you over the years, with neither of us disregarding the other. 

LIKE IDK I think we just have this incredibly healthy and trusting friendship and for someone that spent her childhood with 90% of all relationships being abusive as shit it’s such a breath of fresh air to you know and to be able to interact act with you like I do. You’ve inspired me and taught me so much and I’m always looking forward to watching you change and grow and climb even higher on that damn mountain as the years pass b/c I sure as hell don’t plan on going anywhere like you’re stuck w/ me Amy we’re ride or die ok. Anyway I just ??? adore you I love you a lot and I think you’re incredible and talented and I am not kidding when I say that sometimes I’m just sitting here and I’m like ‘I’m so glad I met Amy’ and get this stupid fuckin smile on my face b/c ??? I love u ??? I can tell you anything and I trust you w/ my whole heart and your existence makes me so happy and !!! I’m just So Glad that we met and became as good of friends as we are and I’m so looking forward to seeing you in the hopefully v v near future.

     The inquisitive look delivers the flippant question--hes seen many like this before. Overzealous, reckless, the enthusiasm appreciated and encouraged but...dragons weren’t only for fun. Partnership is important, relevant, astronomically recommended for those who wished to make a connection in the first place without losing a precious appendage or two. Communication is key, and soul-y so.
