HEAR: “Beauty” is the latest release from rising production talent, Alta-D, and this one is incredible. Alta-D showcases a unique production style throughout this track, with a long, melodic intro that sets the tone. When the drums first hit about 50 seconds in, the groove really starts, with heavy kicks, shuffling percussion, and the plucky melodies continuing to provide a lovely atmosphere before transferring into an almost minute long build that erupts into a heavily distorted electronica/trap drop that truly out of this world. The kicks and bass are heavy, full of distortion, as is the glistening arp on top that provides a floating atmosphere to lift the vocal chops to new heights. Altogether, this is truly a wonderful listening experience and a unique and vibrant release from Alta-D who continues to impress. Fans of trap, future bass, and electronica will surely dig this one. HEAR: US production talent, Andres Mendoza, better known as Alta-D, drops off his grooving house tune, “bae,” and it surely ignites a spark to dance on this last Saturday of July. With soothing piano chords, a funk-infused bassline, and shouting disco strings, Alta-D creates a modern disco vibe throughout this release with an emphasis on providing an unstoppable groove that had me shoulder-rocking and head-bobbing as soon as the bassline hit. The production quality is high and the mixdown is great, allowing all of the instruments to hit just right in this vibrant release.
