Palm is so broken and Nueng is so broken and broken things are weirdly beautiful in such a bittersweet way.

A lover wants to comfort but shares the pain. The pained can't comprehend anything except the opposite of grief.

The kiss lets him drown in some sort of love but the heart doesn't want it. It doesn't cure the wound and it does not stop the running thoughts.

The bath makes Palm feel better and worse and he remembers too many memories. The pure existence of his mother hurts right now.

Nueng knows it, Nueng gets it and he is reminded of his own grief, it never left his body and it never will. He does it all to show he cares and understands. He wants to drink with Palm but can't and he's truly sorry for that.
