a thing I do that drives my friends insane (whereas I can’t grasp why it’s not perfectly normal) is that if there’s a film or tv show I KNOW I will not be watching any time soon (or ever) I’ll just read the entire plot on Wikipedia… yes sometimes I think oh. that would have been worth watching but the satisfaction of immediately knowing is worth it
#now I must admit this has backfired in some instances where I did want to watch said movie or tv show#but the HYPE around it and lack of access to said media drove me to having to find out#eg get out …. I wanted to understand what everyone was talking about#also sinners#it tends to happen with horror movies bc I’m too chicken to watch them#but i simply must know what’s going on#recently it was for the gentlemen on Netflix#I watched two eps and didn’t like it at all but still needed to know what happens#satisfied my curiosity and saved me time !!!!!#idk why I felt the need to share this I will continue on regardless#but my friend who lovesssss going into films blind thinks I’m genuinely bizarre#oh I remembered why this was a thought it’s bc she wanted me to watch severance#and I was like ah… I cannot admit I have read the Wikipedia episode by episode description#it’s just not my cup of tea……..#rahma’s rambles
