so i’m .4 lbs from having lost 20 lbs since the new year! woot woot.

but since i want to lose 60 lbs, that’s only 1/3 of the way there. granted, 1/3 is still very exciting. just like, there’s further that i want to go.

anyway i was telling my coworker this and she was like “1/3, really?” and “I was just like i mean yeah i’m tall but i’m also ......thick” which isn’t how i was planning on ending that sentence but thankfully she’s a boomer so she didn’t really understand lmao

but the fun thing is that she is one of the leaders of the scuba diving class, I’m in so she’s seen me in a swimsuit multiple times so her being like “really you want to lose 40 more lbs?” was i guess like. a point in the me not being like visually super overweight category lol.

i also like doing this thing where i’m like “i know BMI is pretty much nonsense, BUT when i started this i was in the “obese” category, now i’m just “overweight” and i’d really like to be “normal” because i know it’s nonsense but i just. want it.

#also separately #it kind of sucked because my goal is 160lbs #and my friend was like i'm hoping to get back to 140lbs that would be good for me #and it was kind of like....... ok #but she's also like 5 foot 1 or something so it really isn't the same thing at all #anyway so I should hit below 200 by saturday #because i was 200.4 today so like ideally i'll be thoroughly below 200 #and i'm rewarding myself with a tacobell day #basically i'm going to eat all of my calories from taco bell for the day #and i'm letting myself eat up to my bmr rather than my caloric deficit #both as a reward and also as a 'cheat day'#so hopefully my metabolism gets confused idk what is weightloss science #the only thing i don't like about days when i eat like actual food rather than huel #is that the next day i weigh more as a result of the food that is still in my body #but as long as i don't overeat at least it gets back down after all the food has passed #also also i started a new weightlifting program where i lift weights 4 days a week and run 3 days a week #and i take mondays off but i'm in a pool swimming for scuba so i guess technically that's a workout #it doesn't count in my brain though #because the more muscle you have the more you burn while resting #anyway i'm really proud of my progress
