Woo here's a new set of paintings in my room!

Today I bought a copy of a night at the opera on vinyl for £2.99 in a charity shop. I then put it on and tried to work out how old it was. I did some serious digging and found that it was somewhere between 1975 and 2003 (very small time frame, I know).

Then I couldn't do it any further without the actual vinyl which was playing, so I look up what it shows me and found that the 'dead wax' (the inside run off) can have individual things carved into it. So then I found a list of different things that were scratched into different copies of the record, here's the first few:

So I got the record off of the turntable (after it had finished, of course) and guess fucking what???

Its not very clear with a camera but on both side A and B it is clearly etched "BLAIR'S"

Meaning it is not only a first print but a limited edition copy.

I looked it up and all of the elements (outer and inner sleeves, designs on the record and sleeve ect.) match to what it should be and I've seen this get sold for £300, £150 and only once bellow £50

So yeah if this is real I'm shitting myself, the sound quality is so good and apparently it's considered one of the best quality copies ever pressed!

Since I'm going away and coming back on the 6th I thought I'd join the throng and leave a survey to find out all about the fandom whilst I'm away!
