A/N: Whoops. posted this sooner than expected. Kinda short again so Iâm sorry.
Summary: After encountering the âundead dragonâ Platinum And Maiatan attempt to fix whatâs right. Still. This time meeting a couple new friends.
Alphias took his arms from inside the circle, holding himself in place. His chest, arms, neck, and head were the only things we could see. I was baffled by his size, he looked the size of a whole skyscraper with his long neck curled above his body. He kept his jaw clamped on the smaller beast and I could see the pain in Crimsonâs eyes the harder Alphias pressed down.
Of course this was dangerous as when a divine beast and a god make a pact they place a type of spell on themselves due to the ritual. The spell essentially states that if one of them were to die, the other would as well. But seeing as Crimson has been holding on well and strong I know he wonât die. He could probably release the spell anytime he could. I just hope the dragonâs life had ended quickly.
Alphias dipped his head. His neck curving upwards like a snakeâs back, the spines on the back of his neck extending so high a medium-sized wyvern could perch on them.
He opened his jaws, releasing the Faral. The dragon fell to the ground with a flat thud, colorful liquid leaking from his wounds made from Alphiasâs sharp and curved teeth.
Alphias stayed still, his mouth still open, hovering over the smaller dragon. Bright orange and yellow liquid dropped from his lips, glistening against his teeth from the pale moonlight. His golden eyes peering around him and his back stayed hunched while he held his upper body upright.
He closed his mouth, lifting his head slightly, a rumbling rising from his throat while he slowly blinked. I swallowed on air, my mouth dry as I continued to watch him. Iâve never seen a dragon so big. I didnât even think dragons could still get this big.
What breed is he anyway?
âWelcome, Alphias,â Crimson spoke, his tone of voice surprising me. It seemed like he felt as if Alphias was a sibling or family member and knowing Crimson Iâm aware heâs an only child. In fact, heâs the first of his bloodline.
âYouâre a magnificent beast, Alphias,â I said quietly. My voice hoarse while I held my breath in while speaking. âIâve never seen such a fine creature as you.â
Alphiasâs lips pulled up slightly, resembling a snarl. All that came out was a chuckle. âFlattery will get you nowhere, Platinum Uriborle,â he said surprising me with his deep voice and capability to speak so clearly. The rumbling in his throat seemed to always catch at his voice, causing him to pause every once in awhile to gather his voice again. âWhat happened to your stone heart?â
âI have met new people who have changed my ways of seeing life,â I answered. To me it isnât surprising when a dragon speaks of you like heâs known you for years because Iâm aware of how intelligent they are. Theyâre able to see everything about you just by looking at the way you sit or stand or even walk and talk, theyâll even easily catch your lies and speak your worst secrets. Itâs always recommended to never lie to a dragon or even threaten one as they will expose every aspect of you. They can also attack you but thatâs very rare.
âDo not let people influence you so,â he said, blinking, âalways be aware of oneâs intentions. One day I shall teach you.â
âOf course,â I bowed my head, releasing my breath.
âThank you Alphias for the help,â Alpha spoke, walking up to the large dragon and resting a small hand on his snout, patting it slightly.
âAnything for you, Master,â Alphias rumbled, lifting his head in the air. I watched in awe as the slow rise of Apyth glimmered against his blood red scales and plates.
âAlphias,â I called. The large dragon lowered his head again to be somewhat eye level with me. âWhat do you know about making pacts with mortals? As a divine beast I mean.â
âThe power of the divine will corrupt them in many ways. Iâm aware of Laliya, seeing as I live here in Ragnor. Her mind had been shadowed by the divine. Iâm positive she saw things that she shouldnât have seen as a mortalâs mindset is much different than a dragonâs or even a godâs,â he explained, âher mind was clouded by the divine beast she made a pact with and her pact caused the great faral to fall into misery as his own thoughts were clouded by the greediness of an ill mortal such as her.â
âSo the pact changed her mindset?â
âYes and no. She was unaware of the consequences but her mindset stuck to the thought of being powerful because she never was. She was given abilities a mortal should never receive. Because of her actions she will be punished; by Crimson for taking over his leadership and by Aeregele for wrongly taking her title as Goddess of Death.â
âHer mind was clouded and she could not feel the burning in her veins as the divine blood started deteriorating her from the inside,â Crimson said, âshe has not died yet, but Aeregele will make sure she gets what she deserves before she passes.â
âDo you know who the real Goddess of Death is?â
âThe previous Goddess of Death was slain by Aeregele. The only Death God that exists is Moral who lives by the Jayle.â
âI believe the word for beastâ Moralisâ derives from Moralâs name,â Crimson said, âAlthough you canât trust that he wonât take that into consideration.â
Alphias hummed before raising his head again. The rumbling in his throat raised in volume until he let out a big loud roar, almost shaking the earth.
âAlphias! Whatâs wrong?â Alpha asked, stepping back closer to his father who placed a hand on one of his shoulders to hold him near.
âAlphias can take care of it,â Crimson said.
My ears flattened back as I watched the clouds above Alphias. Apyth simmering against them, turning them purple and orange with the slow sunrise. Where the clouds shimmered white a silhouette appeared in them for a second before they suddenly exploded along with the large figure of a white and golden dragon.
Itâs wings outstretched quickly, picking itself up in the air. Raising its bottom half of its body it swung its legs upwards, splaying out its golden talons as if to catch something. Alphias growled and swung his head to the side, catching the white wyvern off guard and throwing it to the ground. He turned his body quickly before the dragon could get up and pulled himself out from his summon circle, a second pair of arms pulling themselves out and holding him where the first pair had been. He threw one of his hands at the smaller dragon, slamming his paw against its side.
The wyvern roared and flailed about, wiggling itself out of Alphiasâs grip and launching itself in the air, screeching. Alphias released a hiss, shaking his head and neck before releasing a beam of fire at the wyvern, knocking it down again with a painful cry.
âAlphias stop!â Alpha shouted and on cue the large blood red dragon stopped himself in place, turned his head around he peered at Alpha over his shoulder with his golden eyes, bright orange liquid dripping from his lips.
I quickly ran over to the wyvern, having not seen a white one before. I strayed away from Alphiasâs summoning circle while he watched Maiatan and I approach the white dragon.
âItâs just a juvenile,â Maiatan said, crouching beside the wyvern. âIt looks like it hatched a few months ago.â
The wyvern let out a small hum, picking itself up on its wings. I hummed and lightly placed my left hand on its snout. âWhat breed is it?â I asked her as I gazed at its sharp dark grey horns covering its head and back of its neck along with its two long golden spines and its piercing white eyes and golden underbelly plates.
âHe looks like an arrow wyvern,â she said, âhis slender body and angular horns. And that sharp beak.â I took my hand back while she carefully placed her fingers on either jaw and opened the wyvernâs mouth. The wyvern let out a small squeak and turned its head slightly while we examined his mouth. âAnd needle-like teeth and bright gums. Heâs definitely an arrow wyvern. He probably doesnât even weigh that much either for his size,â she explained, releasing his jaws.
The small wyvern screeched loudly at Alphias who only huffed back. I watched the small dragon jump around and flex its wings. I felt almost familiarized with the beast. I felt almost like I knew him since he hatched.
âThis small wyvern has a familiar aura to it,â Alphias spoke. âThe aura I had felt confused me before, so I apologize for attacking a juvenile.â
âWhat do you mean?â Maiatan asked, turning to look up at the large beast.
âThis beast is related to the previous Mountain Wyvern,â Alphias said. âHeâs the only surviving offspring of her. Iâm wondering where he had been living all this time.â
The wyvern hissed. The hiss didnât sound too terribly threatening considering itâs just a hatchling, it sounded like a quick release of steam or someone getting burnt by the stovetop. It was interesting to say the least.
âHeâs kinda cute,â Maiatan mumbled.
I hummed in agreement and snapped my fingers. The small wyvern squeaked and jumped slightly closer to me and rubbed his face against my hand when I held it out. Maiatan giggled, petting him along his back.
âHeâs very pretty, too,â she said, moving her right hand across his scales.
I couldnât believe how shiny his silvery-white scales are. Theyâre so clean and glistening with light. They even had the reflections of its surroundings, sort of like metal. When he moved our reflections would distort around his body. His golden horns were just the same. But I knew his scales werenât entirely strong.
âArrow wyverns are known for their shiny scales. In fact, some armors are made for attracting monsters and dragons by using these scales. These wyverns are also known for being very greedy,â Alphias snarled, receiving a hiss from the small wyvern. âHence why my people were always at their throats.â
âWere?â I repeated.
âI am a Venom Basilisk. My people have long been dead,â he explained, his voice rumbling. âOnly few have lived long enough to see the end of my people.â
âTheir end was because of the Arrow Wyverns,â Crimson spoke, âthe two breeds have been at each otherâs throats for years and the Venom Basilisks has been slowly killed off by their rivaling race. Either that or they had all died off because they had grown so large they couldnât sustain their hunger long enough to live anymore.â
âThe Berserkers wouldâve ended out that way if they didnât kill each other. We wouldâve ended out like them if we did the same, but we kept our dignity. Cannibalism would not be an option to quell our starvation.â
âArrow wyverns get large,â Maiatan said, âBut they donât get large enough to starve the way the Venom Basilisks had.â
I growled, turning over in bed. I hadnât even known I fell asleep until I opened my eyes and the room was filled with the light of day. Sort of, I already knew it would be pretty late in the day after I had gotten home in the morning. I didnât exactly mean to fall asleep.
âWhat the hell?â I heard Selenite outside the bedroom. I slowly sat up and pulled myself out of the bed, not bothering with my attire as I walked out of the room and found Selenite in the living room with the small wyvern we had encountered. It squeaked and barked at him, jumping around happily and brushing its head and body all over him. He was like a big puppy. âWhen did we get this?â His face looked almost mortified, but at the same time I knew he thought it was funny.
âThis morning when you were sleeping,â I chuckled and clicked my tongue, the wyvern turning around immediately and hopping over to me, brushing his face in my hand when I held it out.
âBut IâŚâ he sighed with a smile.
âHeâs kinda cute,â I smiled as well, patting the wyvernâs head, receiving a small yip.
âI guess he is,â Selenite said, rubbing his hand on the wyvernâs back. âWhatâll we do when he gets too big for the house?â
âMove,â I said simply, taking back my hand and looking up at him.
âMove? Where?â
âI have a house I used to live at at the peak of Arkâdor. I havenât sold it yet because I didnât plan to,â I shrugged, âit was where I grew up. It has enough yard for him and he can come and go from hunting whenever.â
âOh, thatâs fine I guess,â Selenite shrugged as well. I could tell he was a bit anxious.
âDonât worry about it,â I smiled, stepping over to Selenite and pulling him in for a hug and resting my head on his. Iâm just glad to finally be back home in Rakâour.
I scrolled through my phone, trying to find an answer to whether or not wyverns can eat anything else other than fish since this one is obviously one to eat fish. Itâs an odd thing for a mountain wyvern to be raised on fish, so Iâm just trying to see if he can eat other meats.
In fact, the small wyvern has been lying on the floor with his head resting on my lap while I sat at my desk.
âDoesnât say anything about not being able to,â I sighed.
âI think you should just hunt with him by the river that runs near the town,â Selenite said, sitting on the couch across from me.
âI guess I could,â I sighed, âit wouldnât hurt to go out more.â
âJust be careful, please, winterâs approaching soon and I donât know how long your cybernetics will last in the cold.â
âI donât think any of the trees have really changed much yet, so weâll have a while. And besides,â I said, âby winter heâd be big enough to hunt on his own.â
âI hope heâll be safe then.â
The small wyvern let out a small bark, staring up at me with its bright eyes.
My girl, Alpha. Love her. She great. She's one of my trans ocs. In fact she's my main character. She's a popular hunter, situated in a group of other hunters, two of which have divine blood. She's one of them and her husband, Lance, is the other. She's a very sweet person and is known for being a bit cheesy. She's the second born of Crimson Fallan out of the many siblings she has. She has DID/MPD (dissociative identity disorder/Multiple Personality Disorder). It's actually hard to tell she even has it as she's come to terms with her alts and they all act as one throughout her life. The only telltale is her talking to herself or when she goes nuts during her hunting career. Because she's such a nice person, it's scary when she suddenly snaps at seemingly no one. Hope you enjoyed this one :3
Ayy, guess who's home :D Alright, now we are gonna go with Alpha, mostly because he's the first one to come to mind, and cause I wanna know more about him :) : 5, 9, 14, 19, 22, 26 (should've been 69, smh), 34, 40, 44, 47 ((sorry for the majority of shallow q's, trying not to repeat any atm, lord knows ive already repeated some tho XD))
oooh Alpha! my baby I still need to draw :0
(And donât worry about repeating. Some questions might apply well with multiple characters and youâll never know what ;3)
5- Are they sexually confident or more of the shy type?
Alpha is very confident in many ways, sexually is one of them.
9- Do they have a favorite season? What about a favorite holiday?
His favorite season is most likely winter, he loves sweaters already and winter gives him an even better excuse for wearing them. Plus winter is an aesthetic of his.
his favorite holiday is definitely Christmas, he likes to go all out and Lance seems to enjoy his enthusiasm.Â
14- Do they live alone or with family? How do they feel about their family/roommates?
Alpha lives with two people: his son, Xzavier, and his boyfriend, Lance. Of course he loves both of them. Xzavier is an ecstatic boy and he loves him, and Lance is just the same. The world wouldnât be the same without them.
19- Would your character be the kind to get into fights? (physical or verbal) Would they be a good fighter or cave in rather easily?
With Alphaâs weird enthusiasm and strength, Iâm sure heâd be great in fights (especially the many heâs in). In fact, heâs one of Aergeleâs hunters and is the most popular.Â
22- What kind of tattoos, piercings, birthmarks, freckles, and other such unique physical features do they have?
The most Alpha has is two horns thatâre almost exactly like his fatherâs and a completely black hand. Itâs his dominant hand and he has no idea why its like that, he didnât get it from his father like everything else.Â
26- What is their lover like sexually? How do they feel about their loverâs quirks, needs, etc? ((hah same syn))
Lance is actually very needy at home (thatâs all I can really explain at the top of my head).Â
34- Does your character have favorite foods? (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks, etc)
Alpha might like desserts a bit too much, he loves to bake and had dreamed of opening a bakery. That never happened, juts let him bake his own cake for his birthday and probably everyone elseâs.Â
40- Does your OC have any guilty pleasures they enjoy? Hobbies, past times, music, etc that they wouldnât want known by others?
No one really understands what Alpha does on his free time, not even Lance or Xzavier. He sorta just⌠disappears some days and doesnât come back till way after midnight. Heâs kind of a mystery sometimes.
44- Is there a particular event that would emotionally devastate your character?
It can be hard to tell how much something would devastating to Alpha because pf his enthusiasm but after Lorehnâs mother died it was her duty to take her place in Mai-Jayle. Of course he could visit her, but only if one of Mai-Jayleâs keepers is around him.
47-Â Is your character outgoing? Would they be the leader of the friend group, or the quiet one that gets dragged along?
Alpha definitely has to be a leader, thatâs all he ever is unless another leader is around (i.e. his dad or even Platinum).
