When Y/n accepts a position as assistant to alpha K-pop group ATEEZ, she's prepared with professional skills and scent blockers to hide her omega status. What she's not prepared for is the immediate, inexplicable connection she feels with all eight membersâa resonance that defies her careful boundaries.
As Y/n becomes eerily attuned to their needs, her suppressed omega nature begins to emerge: purring for the first time in years, responding to alpha growls, feeling safe in ways she never has before. a/n: Im back bitchessss les get this shit goinnnn 1.5k words
Your eyes sleepily blinked open to the pawing at your thighs and whispers of excitement. What the hell?
Everything was wet- of sweat and slick, creating a mix of body fluid leaking from your body as it entered heat without your permission. And the boys were clearly in enjoyment creating you stress as you gaze down at Wooyoung between your thighs, licking up your juices with his tongue out like a depraved dog in a desert that finally found an oasis. You let out a squeak immediately kicking him away from your thighs, only top find her wouldnât move and only growled like an alpha. The omega only let his relentless grooming down when a loud growl penetrated the air, coming from Hongjoong. He stood at the door to the nesting den before he didnât- and he was grabbing Wooyoung by his hair forcing a moan from the foxy man as he teared him away from you.
âShe went into full heat and you didnât tell us?â Hongjoong asked with danger premeating his tone- he would never harm an omega of his pack, but a punishment for his selfish greed would be honed upon him for sure. He had just arrived from a quick meeting with the rest of Ateez with the exception of Wooyoung at the company. Of course your stubborn ass would go into full heat the second they left. The meeting hadnât been planned and was urgent, so despite his desire and need to stay near he left. And dragged six other members along with him due to the ceoâs questioning. He could fuck off for all of Hongjoong could care. And here he comes in to find Wooyoung lapping at their prized omega instead of calling him- what a jerk. Heâs supposed to know the lead alpha is the first for every member of the pack. No exceptions. At least the little shit didnât penetrate yet.
Wooyoung was about to respond before the rest of their pack tore in, eyes glazed with hunger and need. They could smell it- the scent of need and desire- sending every alpha and omega in the room into an instinctual mode to comfort and fuck their new pup into submission. Whispers and moans of nothing but excitement tore through the air.
Hongjoong let his rough hold of Wooyoung go as he nodded at San. âPunish the little cunt.â He barked. San didnât waste time mounting Wooyoung in a doggy posistion, rutting against the omegaâs ass. He made sure they both had a clear view of you though and you could see the show as you rubbed your thighs together unknowingly that the real show was about to happen as Hongjoong started undressing. The thunderous sound of your heart beating wildly in your chest seemed all the more intense as you watched them shed their extra clothing.
They were all perfectly sculpted which only made you feel more insecure about your figure, starting to slightly panic more as your curled in on your nakedness, hoping to hide. This was happening- you were about to be fucked- you couldnât stop this- your body needed them. All of them. Your insecurities didnt have long to muster before Hongjoong crawled on top of you, eyes glazed and hungry as he lifts your legs on his shoulder, eyes staring at your pussy before he dived in. The pleasure was instant, a whine tore from your mouth as you shook from the intense excatsy that flooded your body. Though you didnt really expect him to do something like this, it still didnât stop your surprised gasp as you gave him a perfect opening to slide his tongue between your lips, nose rubbing against your clit as he let his tongue explore your insides as his eyes rolled back in pleasure at your taste. But he quickly found his eyes focusing on you as you twitched and tried to fight the pleasure off poorly.
Seonghwa climbed behind you, positioning your head on his lean stomach as his hands moved to your tits, grabbing and pawing as he watched his mate divulge in the oasis of your pussy. His fingers twisted at your nipples as Hongjoong stimulated you till you were crying out of need- for him to stop- no, you needed more.
Your alpha rose, face dripping with your liquids, giving you an unhinged smile.
âSuch a pretty fucking pussy.â He purred, fangs glinting in the light.
The rest of Ateez gathered around, watching and stimulating each other in need and desperation. They wanted their turn. But none of them dared rush their captain.
Hongjoong straightened to his full height, letting your legs drop ontop of his thighs as his right hand stroked his hard, leaking cock. The pure size of it had you coming to your senses and screaming as you tried to pull away, which only resulted in the two holding you down, the smiles never leaving their face.
âShhh, pretty kitty, be a good omega and take your alphaâs cock..â Seonghwa whispered in your ear as Hongjoong lined his dick with your leaky hole, stretched from his tongue.
Seonghwa kissed at your face, hands playing with your nipples, causing you to look at him with teary eyes. Before you could prepare yourself, Hongjoong rutted his cock all the way into you within a milisecond, groaning from pleasure as he hit your cervix, pushing at it with his leaky tip. He shook from pleasure as he gave you a moment to adjust as he rubbed his tip all in your cervix.
âgonna fuckinâ cum in your womb, baby, gonna have you leaking on my knot like a fountain.â Hongjoong growled, hips pulling back before snapping into a brutal pace that left you crying and screaming from pleasure. His knot was already swelling inside of you slowly, rubbing relentlessly against your g-spot, making you overstimulated as you cried, but you needed more- you needed his knot- his fangs in your neck- all of them- all eight of their fucking knots.
âYeahh.. thats fucking it, cry on daddyâs cock. You know you fucking love being pumped full like this by your alpha. Youâre gonna take it all arenât chaâ?â Hongjoong growled eyes crazed as he went into a frenzy, his right hand finding your clit as he made sure to overwhelm you in pleasure till you break. His left hand dug into your hip, gripping as he dragged your body to meet his thrusts, giggling as Seonghwa licked at your neck, giving your nipples attention. He moaned loudly, mouth open and drool slipping from his mouth, fangs slowly growing farther out in preparation with his knot.
You couldnât do anything but cry louder as every part of your body was being stimulated- or at least thatâs what you thought before you felt Hongjoong slow down, grabbing something from Yeosang before popping it in his mouth and sucking until it was well lubed with his saliva. You didnât have time to process before the anal plug was being shoved into your ass, as Hongjoong continued thrusting, picking up his pace once it was in. You need to be claimed in all places, of course. The plug was just for preparation. Youâd get use to it real fucking fast tonight.
You cried in embarrasment as you almost immediately creamed on his cock the second you were double penetrated. Fuck it felt good, Everything was being stimulated- you couldnât think of anything but Hongjoongâs name, eyes rolling back as your body shook from pleasure.
Your alpha laughed cruely, thrusts unrelentless despite your orgasm. His knot was swelling to the limit- he could feel it rising, getting ready to pump your stupid fucking cunt full of his seed. Make you even more fucking stupid on his cock.
âSuch a good fucking, pup. Yeah, you like it so much, sometimes you need to just shut your fucking mouth and let your body do the talking on my cock.â You couldnât help the squeeze your pussy gave as he rutted inside. âYeahh, thatâs it, you gonna milk your daddyâs cock right? Take it all, mhmm?â
His words turned into a loud rumble as he slammed his hips into your one last time, letting his huge knot swell, locking your bratty ass in place as his cock pumped his seed into the deepest part of you. Hongjoongâs fangs found your neck before your could scream from another orgasm his knot caused you, shaking violently as your eyes rolled back.
He kept rolling his knot in deeper as he could, not giving a fuck about your cries and continuous orgasm. âFuckâŚ, fuck yeah, just like that.â Hongjoong whimpered in pleasure shaking as his dick continued spewing like a fountain in your tight cunt, tip pressing uncomfortable hard into your cervix, ensuring all his cum went directly into your womb.
Your body went limp, accepting his seed and knot, letting it calm your heat. The bite on the center of your neck stung like a fucker, and made your body more overwhelmed as you felt the connections come together with the rest of your packmates. Seonghwa purred with Hongjoong, behind you, hugging your upper body with his shoulders and nuzzling his head into your hair.
The last thing you see before passing out from pleasure and exhaustion are the boys gathering around you in awe, praises leaving their mouth.
âfuck..â Mingi whispered, âsheâs so perfect.â
Toc/cw; scenting. omega in heat. talk of s3x. featuring alpha g-idle. Language. Mature Content! Talk of gender, sex, and the weird system that a/b/o roles have, including the terrible hierarchy system. It's my series so I make my own rules, period!
Never, absolutely never, does a person get their second sex when they're born. It's no surprise they get it towards puberty, yet the majority of times, heats or ruts do not start happening until they're in their late teens- early twenties. Betas never went through that issue. They hardly ever were considered more than peace makers. For a while, they were the least chosen. While not as valuable as an alpha or as wonderful at comforting like an omega. There was still some dull middle ground. They weren't that special.
That was only for a bit, anyway. Eventually, omegas took that spot, lower on the hierarchy, whilst betas gained the middle place. You didn't agree with the system, though. It doesn't matter your second sex. It matters how you hold yourself, how you go about through life with a second sex.
And you stood by that for decades.
You took hold of a company and shaped yourself to fit their mold. Although a foreigner in this strange city, following a dream you didn't know you could grasp, you still went for it. You molded yourself to fit whatever they wanted. A calm, level-headed, peace-maker, beta. With a heart of fire and determination that'll set a field ablaze. You worked your ass off. Getting up as early as possible. Practicing. Making something of yourself. Training yourself. Learning the language.
Someone who could make even the quietest of omegas open up, and the loudest of alphas silent. You were a patient and composed person.
And when you came out on top, the very top, unreachable and untouchable, you knew you maxed out your potential. It was only then that you let it slip from your hands and into the grasp of another. You let them see what you could do, and now it was their turn.
They took it with stride. Quickly, you found yourself linked to a group you'd be a part of for life. You were surprised, to say the least.
"It smells like testosterone in here," you grimaced.
Eventually, you did get used to the stench of 8 alphas. Soon enough, you could actually smell their undertones. A mix of everything drowns every corner of the apartment you live in with them.
You were fairly the least popular in the group by a good amount. Sometimes, you chalked it up to people being oblivious. It never hurt you, why would it? You're a rare gem. Sometimes, it needs a light shined on it to really sparkle.
It's years later of cleaning up after messy alphas and teaching yourself tricks to get used to their behaviors, that you suddenly notice a difference in yourself.
"Hey, you smell different," seonghwa scruches his nose, a pleasantly surprised look on his face. You slip your shoes off in the doorway, closing it behind you. "New perfume," you reply, half hazerdly, sliding your keys into the key bowl. "I thought you liked your own scent?" He comes over and helps you with the handbag in your arm.
You hand it over to the taller guy, slipping your mask down your face. "I'm starting to stink, so i changed my perfume scent. Maybe your guys' stench is making me allergic, or I'm getting sick." You sigh tiredly when he hangs your jacket up in the closet. "No, not sick. I know what you smell like when you're sick," seonghwas eyebrows scrunch.
"You smell.. sweeter.. have you been hanging out with any omegas lately?" He questions, folding his arms over his chest. His white sweater is rolled up his arms, and his black pants hang loosely. Surely, if seonghwa is to lounge around, he's gonna do it with style. You laugh, avoiding his eyes when he catches you looking him up and down. "Ha, yeah, actually. I'm helping Kimmie prep for her heat. She plans to have a couple of mini devils running around this summer. Can you believe it?" You scoff, mentioning your long time once-trainee close friend who you grew attached too.
"Kimmie with kids, I would have never thought," you mumble under your breath, years ago you would of scoffed at the idea of young- impressionable kimmie, mature enough to consider having kids with her beta husband whom you also knew to be a trainee from before. Are you really getting that old? Seonghwa stares for a couple of seconds. His piercing eyes guide you up and down. You're staring back now. Seonghwa doesn't flinch. "Right, let's hope kim is ready for that," he laughs, and just like that, the tension breaks.
You both shuffle into the living room. Calling it a night.
Not even two days later, you're on the couch scrolling mindlessly on your phone whilst you wait for the guys to get dressed. The practice video for one of your group songs is soon. You've only been able to practice by yourself up until that point.
Yeosang takes a seat next to you, pushing you into his side. The alpha gently taps your leg to gain your attention. "What's up?" You put your phone down, giving him your full attention. "My scent is wearing off on you," he almost pouts. You smile, turning towards him and opening your arms. "Okay, c'mere." You beckon his face into your neck. Afterward, you let him take the lead.
It takes two seconds for you to realize he's not scenting you anymore. He didn't even start. "Yeosang?" You call out, threading your fingers on the back of his neck hairs. He hums, and it sounds so far away. His scent grows heavier. "You okay?" You attempt to pull back. he chases your neck. You can hear him breathing heavily, struggling to catch his breath after every strong inhale. His soft hand snakes around your neck, gently leaning your head the opposite way so he can get more room.
You follow, cause you trust your pack member. You can feel his mouth part, his lips drawing closer to your pulse. Your eyebrows furrowed. What are you doing? Obviously, something is up. You pull away from yeosangs grasp. Backing up just a bit. You put a hand to his chest to distance yourself. It's a few seconds before yeosang seems to come back, his foggy eyes focusing. "Sorry, I.. you smell really different lately," he admits, twisting his fingers in his lap.
"How so?" You question him. "Like.. sweeter. I can smell it linger, deep down under our scents I can smell.. an omega," he admits, his eyebrows twitch down. You haven't been to Kimmies house since seonghwa asked, yet you've completely washed and cleaned yourself of her scent entirely. You don't know what to say.
"Well," you fold your legs into your lap. "I think I might be coming down with something, I changed my perfume. It could be that, too?" You can't tell if you're reassuring yourself or yeosang. He hums. His eyes search your front, glancing up at you and then down to your neck where your scent glands are. "Could you wear one of my shirts for practice? I didn't get to properly scent you, and it'd make me feel better. " his tone is more of a demand yet hes still a little shy with it. Behind his eyes, you can see the strange look he casts aside.
You smile wearily. "Sure."
Yeosang had picked a black shirt he wore very often. It took him a hot minute, but by the time you watched him go through everything in his closet, the guys were done and slipping on their shoes. Once he was satisfied with his choice, he handed it to you. A shirt that would be tight fit for yeosang hanged off you. The deepest scents you can pick out are cocoa butter and honeyed citrus, like lemonade. There's the distant scent of strong tea. The cocoa butter blends well into his scent, perfectly layered. Perfectly yeosang.
You took a deep enhale, liking the freshness of his smell. Not noticing the satisfactory smile on yeosangs face, you slipped off into his bathroom and exchanged your shirt for his. Leaving yours behind. Once you came out, you were surprised to still see him there. His scent is everywhere in this room, heavier than normal.
His eyes look your form up and down. You give a tiny spin, smiling awkwardly. Finally, his eyes meet yours, clouded with an unknown emotion. It's a few seconds of silence. You never break off eye contact.
"We're gonna be late!" Hongjoong shouts out from the front door. His voice echoes in the hallway, leading to yeosangs' room. Yeosang smiles, looking away. He makes haste to the door and leaves you. You let the breath out you were holding. What was that?
Practice takes a hard minute to start, the coolness of the room makes it easier to warm up. You're not sweating when you begin repeating steps, adjusting what you deem unfinished or sloppy. Not long does the heat kick into the room. You find yourself removing your hoodie.
"Let's get started" the manager hits the button on the camera, beginning the recording. Your eyes follow your own movement. All of ateez has said you're the ace of the group, in everything you do it seems well-executed. You doubt that sometimes.
Every move and every breath is conditioned from years of practice everyday 'til you couldn't feel your legs. Sometimes you'd go as far as to even run, dance, and jump in terrible stilletos. Which worked out in the end since the majority of the time you'd have to wear heels or platforms to match the height of the guys during every event and performance.
Sweat pools on your collar, your neck, and your forehead as you work across the room. You can smell every one of the guys as they pass around you, a flurry of scents clog your senses. You try to focus on the choreography.
You tried until your shoulder slams into someone, throwing you off balance and onto the hard wood floor. Your elbow bounces off the wood. You slide to a stop quickly. "Fuck!" you curse at the sting in your leg, hip, and ankle. The room grows extremely quiet, the music stops as quickly. Mingi bends down to your level, shock still evident on his face. "Sorry! shit, my bad, are you okay?" He reaches for your head.
"Ow" you whine, like actually whine, instead of brushing it off like you normally would. Touching your elbow. You both simultaneously notice the blood dripping off your elbow. "Why aren't you watching where you're going!?" Yunho walks up to mingi. Mingi stands up from next to you. "I didn't do it on purpose!" Mingi defends, his jaw clenches. The two stare daggers, a tense standoff so sudden you donât know truly if you falling is the cause of it or if something else is at play. Hongjoong steps forward to stop them. A heated discussion begins.
Wooyoung and San stand back, Jaws clenched, at any moment they look ready to pounce. Yeosang stands with Seonghwa and Jongho, who look just as concerned about the growing argument, yet their faces murge into something completely different at the smell in the air.
It's something no one can put their finger on.
Your ever growing weirdly sweet scent is surprising to even you, your gut twists in an unsettled way. You don't look at their faces, trying to understand the smell and your sudden shift. What the hell is going on with you?
"Boys, out in the hallway now, please" Jongsik. The manager you've had for years steps forward. As the oldest in the room take charge, the guys looked challenged. "What about her!?" Yunho shouts out, fustrated. In the distance another aurgument begins. Mingi squats back down to your level, gently pulling your attention back to him with his hands on either side of your face. "it's not that bad, yeah? It's alright?" He wants to reassure you. "Mingi" you practically whine, pulling at his wrist. The smell of harsh and swirling emotions makes your nose scrunch, it's intense and somewhat intoxicating.
You're dizzy.
Jongsik stands firm. "Out!" He repeats himself pointing to the practice room door. He reaches for mingi's shoulder. He who pushes the older man off, standing abruptly.
Hongjoong, the pack leader, is the one that rounds up the boys and pushes them out, even mingi. Before he shuts the door. He looks at you. He's so tempted to just run back in, coddle you and wrap your elbow in bandages. Yet he closes the door anyways.
There's no defiance or whining from you. because jongsik is a beta, and already mated. He's taken on a fatherly role to you when he pulls you to your feet. "I don't feel good.." You slur. Placing a hand on your head.
"Hey, it's gonna be alright. We're gonna get you to the hospital, alright?"
You lay on an examination bed, squirming by yourself. Anxiously you wait twirling your hand around the bandage on your elbow.
"This is something we've never seen before." With your heightened hearing, you can feel they're talking about you.
"She showed signs of being a beta for years. How could something like this happen so suddenly? It's impossible." Whispers echo in your mind.
What the hell is going on?
"Hello," a doctor, also a lady, steps in. her face is covered with a mask. "I'm Dr Liana." You try to focus, but the ache in your stomach is distracting. "It seems to have been there for a while, most likely due to continuous, omega activities, from what my colleagues and I have assumed."
"Have you been noticing anything different from your usual routine?"
You recount what you can, anything you find weird yourself. And there's so many clues, like when you stole each hoodie and wore it from everyone for a week straight just because 'you wanted too'. Or how touchy you've been recently especially with hongjoong, your pack leader. The scent change, the continuous need to please your members and let them have their way lately.
How you, oh God, how you've started collecting everyone's clothing in your closet, you called it a clothing pile. It's a nest. You've been nesting.
You've been not so subtlety feeding this hunger within you.
Realization has dawned on you for the first time in a month. And after a few more tests, you've spent a total of two days in the hospital.
Once you're out, you're immediately escorted to a heat sanctuary. A common locked and secure place for omegas going into heat.
"What I'm hearing is you're about to go into heat. It'll be a difficult process for you considering you're a beta turned omega, and it's fairly late for you to be getting your first heat, but I'm sure there's plenty of options for you."
There were plenty of other options, yet you opted for the least embarrassing and least dreadful one. It was too late to take heat suppressants. Now, you're stuck in a somewhat luxurious hotel room with glorified room service and plenty of meds to sedate you for a week or less. They're actually so you can't feel the actual pain that comes with a heat without having a knot to sedate the feeling. If you really hoped you could sleep it off, you'd be dead wrong.
The specific question of; "do you have anyone in mind that could take care of you during your heat?" Really lingered. You thought about it. Maybe more than once, but you turned it down. No way. Nooo wayyyy. You wouldn't dare go past the first pack of alphas your mind landed on. Wouldn't even touch that book or open it in your minds eye.
Everything is very sensitive for the first day. You sweat a ton. You feel like you've lost weight, although you eat when you're not... 'foggy'. You feel the sweat pool at every corner of your temporary bed.
Anything you can get your hands on you pull, hard, and rip and tear. A pile of blankets and pillows are strewn on the floor in one giant large pile. Every once in a while you'll come back to your senses and childishly get upset at what you're doing.
No you've got nothing against omegas. You just didn't ask to be one, so therefore you're mad about being one.
Once satisfied, you spraw out and get to working on yourself with whatever you can, clothes and all. Toys. Plugs. Lube. You would have never guessed you'd end up this way. You name it, and they have it. They say there's nothing more satisfying than a knot, yet you don't enjoy the idea of what comes after. Pups? Ew. Is there even anything to counteract that? How do people just sleep with a stranger during a heat and not feel scared about what will happen in the moment? There's nothing wrong with it. It's just not your particular cup of tea.
As a beta, or.. when you were one, it wasn't very hard to find someone to hook up with. Betas have the abilities to hook up with anyone, alphas, omegas, and other betas. Although pregnancies and knotting aren't as easy for betas(you're not a big fan of wrapping it) it'll work eventually if tried enough. There's this middle ground for betas who can have it all. Relationships get difficult when you aren't as drawn to each other as an alpha and omega are, but with patience, it'll work.
There's this gross scent lingering under your skin, you can still smell the scent of your old skin, the beta you once were is suddenly being washed away by a sweet, tropical smell, an omega in full bloom. It's your second day. Yet you couldn't get more miserable. Two or three more days of this? Seriously.
You've never been a girly girl, begging for your way or kissing up to get it. You were commonly told you were a tomboy growing up. Maybe that played its role on your first designated sex. Your company pushed that role, too. Tough girl act. Rapper, Dancer. Never the face of the group. But you weren't complaining. You were the top of top trainees. Nothing could beat you down.
Yet, dressing up in baggy clothes and never looking sexually appealing was your role in the group. Tomboy rapper. Compared to the beginning of fourth gen, you were considered a girl crush but nothing else. least lines, least screen time, least roles. I mean. You trained for this, right?
Now you're stuck with a new second gender you didn't ask for. Pushing you farther behind the scenes. Just your luck.
As soon as your first heat ends. You realize you weren't as bad. Apparently, the first heat ever is the easiest. You're supposed to get worse. Seriously. Worse? God. You can't take this. You go to the only people you know won't make a big deal out of your new.. thing.
Soyeon places a hot cup of tea right in front of you. And you can smell the scent suppressant coming from the steam. "this is supposed to help?" You sniff at it warily, grimacing at the factory like smell.
"You came to us, at our dorm, smelling like the biggest ball of 'fuck me please', take it or leave it." She clicks her tongue at you, propped up on her bed. Minnie takes a seat opposite of you, as does shuhua. "You cant even smell me, you're on scent suppressants" you groan, swirling the tea. "How do yall cope." You sigh and chug the content of the large tea cup. Soyeon laughs, minnie grimaces, and despite having a shocked look, shuhua pumps her fist in encouragement.
You've come to the group of alpha women cause, well, they're your best friends. And they're the most encouraging about any and all supplements and suppressants. They've single handedly encouraged everyone you know to take suppressants. From the front door, you hear it open and close, stepping down the hallway comes yuqi and miyeon, who do a double take.
Yuqi takes a giant whiff, and her eyes bulge. "What happened to you!?" She coughs at the stench of omega. Something she doesn't find common in their room when you're around. Miyeon scoots to the side when Soojin pushes through with a cake of some sort and a tiny charcuterie board. She places it down in front of you. You can tell the alpha in her is desperately trying to please you.
"Somehow, our poor, once beta, girl friend has changed sex." Soyeon speaks through a bite of twizzlers. You don't comment at her choice of words. Yuqi and Miyeon scoot into the room, staring at their doting member.
"There you go." Soojin pats your head and takes a seat on the bean bag in front of you. "Thanks," you sigh, digging in. The cake, which soojin explains, is a long-lasting scent changer. Magic is baked into every bite.
As for the charcuterie board. It's just something to get you some protein with the lack of good supplements in your system. In her eyes, you've lost at least half of your body weight. You haven't. Yet she's still encouraging you to take care of yourself from such a rushed heat.
"Poor girl," miyeon sighs, "I've never heard of that happening to anyone before. How's that even possible?" She takes to removing her hoodie and placing it down properly. Yuqi shuffles off her bag. Plopping onto the bed next to you. "How'd the guys react?" She steals a piece of meat from your board.
"I haven't told them" you sigh, the room goes silent.
"That's fucked up" yuqi laughs. Miyeon slaps her ankle. "So we're the first to know?" Shuhua confirms, you nod. "Wow, I'm sure they'll be happy about that," soyeon laughs lightly. You tear your eyes off shuhua. "What do you mean by that?" You clearly speak, eyebrows pulled down. Minnie places a hand on your ankle to get your attention. "Well, we're your girl pack. We'll always be your girl pack." she looks nervous.
"But the last time I hung out with you, your boys stared at me like I was an intruder in their territory." she pats your ankle. Your eyebrows pull taunt. You want to defend them. "What? No way.." You truly think about it. "Whatever you say, your boys aren't as good as we are at keeping up with our contribution to not being alpha whores" soyeon sighs pushing to sit up. "Especially mingi, he's the whoriest of them all, he goes into rut every week it seems. He needs a heavy dose of rut suppressants." she takes another chunk off her twizzler.
"You shouldn't feel obligated to tell them first. Butt.. you shouldn't be surprised when they get upset about you telling us first." The girls all nod. You fall back onto soyeons pillows. A puff of sandal wood and cinnamon surrounds you. Slowly dying down as the tea takes its hold on your heightened senses. "Maybe I should have thought this through," you rub at your eyes.
"You're always welcomed here." soojin clears your mind, patting her hand against your hip in a friendly gesture. "This won't change anything. You're still my- our best friend," soojin speaks on behalf of the girls. Everyone hums to confirm.
"Thanks," you say genuinely. "It's a bit late for you to get a drive all the way home, What'd the company say to the guys?" Miyeon perks up from the edge of the bed. "Something about me needing medical evaluation. I'm pretty sure they think I'm still in the hospital." Yuqi scoots up next to you. "Did you check your phone?"
You didn't even think about it, pulling it from your pocket. You try to power it on. "No, everything was rushed. I didn't have a chance to check anything before I had to give it up so I wouldn't expose the place I was at." The screen doesn't light up. It's completely dead.
"It's dead," you pass it to soojin, who already had her hand out to take it. She plugs it into soyeons charger. "Well, I guess you're stuck here." Shuhua and yuqi topple on top of you, squishing you into the mattress.
"Sleepover!"
The next morning, you wake up sore. Not because of anything the girls did but because of such a long trial of whatever you did to yourself in the haze of heat. You groan when you shift your hip, burying yourself closer to the center of the makeshift bed you made in the living room.
The night was full of movies and being doted on by every one of the girls. Things aren't supposed to change because of your new sex, and that's remained true. They just baby you a little bit more than usual. "Shuhua, 'mega! Come eat! Now!" Minnie yells from the kitchen. The nickname startles you, something you've never heard before is somewhat pleasent to your ears. There's stomping towards the living room. Your head slams back down onto the pillow, pretending to sleep.
"I know you're awake." yuqis smile can be heard through her words. You can't help the prying of your lip. "Nu-uh," you grin, eyes still closed. "Get up!" She jumps on you, pulling you into a suffocating hug that she wiggles around in. You laugh and pull her equally as close. After the struggle of a couple of seconds, your exhaustion returns. Your arms fall limply around her waist.
"You doing alright?" She asks, picking herself up and off of you so you can breathe. "Yeah, I just tired myself out this week." you laugh, embarrassed. "Don't worry," shuhua perks her head up from the couch next to you. "You should have heard when yuqi had her first rut," shuhua laughs menacingly, yuqi springs up. "Shut up!" She yells. "She wouldn't stop! All night and day! We had to quarantine the whole top floor!" Shuhuas words stop on occasion when yuqi is wrestling to cover her mouth. You laugh at them.
"Hey," soojin stands over, ignoring her members. "Hi," you smile back. "Hungry?" She lends you her hand, pulling you up off the floor. "Starved," you take it, embracing her rose filled scent.
A platter of delicious food is placed right in front of you. Breakfast in their apartment is somewhat new to you. You've never really been able to stay long when you visit. Maybe you're starting to realize the guys have a stronger hold on you than you thought. Speaking of the guys. As soon as you finish your plate, Soojin places your phone down in front of you. The screen is still black, signaling she hasn't turned it on.
"You're gonna want to answer your boy toys before they stalk you down themselves," soyeon gestures. She's not wrong.
You power your phone on and let it reboot for a second. Yuqi is still eating with shuhua, talking to miyeon and minnie about something you don't pay attention to. Your phone makes a continuous notification sound when all of your messages pop up.

Chapter 2: The Decision
Hongjoong pulled back into the driveway of the ATEEZ residence, his mind still occupied with thoughts of you. There was something about your presence that had resonated with him on a level he couldn't quite explain. As an alpha leader accustomed to trusting his instincts, this inexplicable pull wasn't something he could easily dismiss.
He sat in the car for a moment after turning off the engine, replaying the interview and tour in his mind. Your genuine enthusiasm, your thoughtful questions, the way you'd carried yourself with quiet confidenceâeverything pointed to you being the right fit for the position. And yet, there was something more, something his alpha senses had detected despite not being able to catch your scent.
With a decisive nod to himself, Hongjoong grabbed his phone and fired off a quick text to Minwoo:
I think we've found our new assistant. Y/n L/n is the right choice.
He didn't wait for a response before pocketing his phone and heading into the house.Â
---
In your small apartment across the city, you kicked off your heels and collapsed onto your bed, still buzzing with energy from the interview. You replayed every detail in your mindâthe questions, your answers, the tour of the beautiful property, and most vividly, the strange intensity in Hongjoong's gaze whenever your eyes had met.Â
You reached up to touch the scent blocker behind your ear, wondering if it had been functioning properly throughout the day. You'd never experienced such immediate connection with anyone before, let alone an alpha, and especially not one as prominent as Kim Hongjoong.
"Don't read too much into it," you murmured to yourself. "It was just a job interview."
But deep down, you knew there had been something moreâsomething in the way all three ATEEZ members you'd met had looked at you, something in the atmosphere that had shifted when you'd entered their space.
Your phone chimed with a message from your roommate asking how the interview had gone. With a smile, you began typing out a response, trying to convey your excitement without sounding too hopeful. Now came the hard partâwaiting for their decision.
---
As expected, the living room was now significantly more populated than when Hongjoong had left with you earlier. Six of the eight ATEEZ members were gathered there, with only Jongho missingâlikely at the gym, as was his habit in the afternoons.
The conversation halted abruptly as Hongjoong entered, all eyes turning to him with unmistakable curiosity.
"Well?" Wooyoung prompted immediately, leaning forward. "Is she the one? The girl who's going to save us from our scheduling disasters?"
"I just finished showing her the property," Hongjoong said, trying to keep his tone neutral despite the surge of possessiveness he felt at Wooyoung's eager questioning. "She seemed to like it."
"She more than liked it," San interjected, turning to the others who hadn't met you yet. "You should have seen her eyes light up when she saw the place. And she seems niceâprofessional but not stuck-up."
Seonghwa, who had been quietly observing from his position on the couch, raised an eyebrow. "You got all that from what, a two-minute interaction?"
San shrugged, unable to explain the immediate impression you had made on him. "Sometimes you just know about people."
"Well, I'm in love with her," Wooyoung declared dramatically, falling backward onto the couch and sprawling across Yeosang's lap. "She's perfect. Her smile alone could power the entire Seoul electric grid."
Seonghwa promptly reached over and smacked the back of Wooyoung's head, though the gesture held more affection than genuine annoyance. "You've known her for all of five minutes. Control yourself."
"You haven't even met her yet," Wooyoung retorted, rubbing his head. "Just wait. You'll see."
Hongjoong observed the exchange with mixed feelings. On one hand, he was pleased that San and Wooyoung had responded positively to you. On the other hand, the alpha in him bristled slightly at Wooyoung's exaggerated declaration, irrational though that reaction might be.
"What matters is whether she's qualified for the job," Yunho pointed out reasonably. "We need someone who can handle the chaos around here, not just someone Wooyoung has a crush on."
"Her resume is impressive," Hongjoong confirmed, settling into an armchair. "Experience with scheduling, fluent in English, organized, professional. She seems adaptable too, which we definitely need."
Mingi, who had been unusually quiet, finally spoke up. "What was your gut feeling about her? You usually have good instincts about people."
The question gave Hongjoong pause. How could he explain the immediate connection he'd felt without sounding strange? "There's something... right about her," he finally said. "I can't exactly put it into words."
"That's what I'm saying!" Wooyoung exclaimed, sitting up suddenly. "There's just something about her!"
Yeosang, who had remained silent until now, gave a small nod. "If both Hongjoong and these two felt it," he gestured to San and Wooyoung, "then maybe there is something special there."
"I felt drawn to her too," San admitted quietly. "Which is weird because she's wearing blockers, so it's not like I caught her scent or anything."
Seonghwa's interest seemed piqued by this. "All three of you felt something? That's unusual."
Hongjoong's phone buzzed with a response from Minwoo:
*Her references check out excellently. If you're confident, make the offer. We need someone ASAP.*
A sense of satisfaction settled over him as he looked up at his packmates. "Manager Minwoo has given the green light. I'm going to offer her the position."
"Yes!" Wooyoung pumped his fist in the air, earning another light smack from Seonghwa.
"Calm down. She'll be our assistant, not your personal entertainment," Seonghwa chided, though there was curiosity in his eyes. It wasn't often that someone made such an immediate impression on multiple members of their pack.
"When will she start?" Yunho asked, already thinking practically.
"Her lease ends at the end of the month, but she indicated she could potentially start sooner if needed," Hongjoong replied. "I think giving her a week to wrap things up at her current place would be reasonable."
"I can help her move in," San offered quickly.
"We all can," Seonghwa corrected, giving San a knowing look. "As a proper welcome."
Mingi grinned. "I bet Jongho's going to be upset he missed meeting her today."
"He'll meet her soon enough," Hongjoong said, already pulling up your contact information on his phone. "We all will."
As the conversation continued around him, Hongjoong stepped out onto the balcony for some privacy to make the call. The afternoon sun was beginning to set, casting golden light across the city. He took a deep breath, feeling uncharacteristically nervous as he dialed your number.
---
You had just finished changing into comfortable clothes when your phone rang. Your heart skipped a beat when you saw the caller ID: Kim Hongjoong. It had only been a few hours since the interviewâa quick response could either be very good or very bad news.
Taking a steadying breath, you answered. "Hello?"
"Y/n? It's Kim Hongjoong."
"Yes, hello," you replied, trying to keep your voice even despite the nervous flutter in your chest. "I wasn't expecting to hear from you so soon."
There was a brief pause, and you could almost picture him standing somewhere in that beautiful house, perhaps looking out over the same city skyline you could see from your own window.
"I hope I'm not calling at a bad time," he said. "I wanted to speak with you about the position."
You sank down onto the edge of your bed, heart racing. "Not at all. I'm available to talk."
Hongjoong found himself smiling at the sound of your voice, that same inexplicable sense of rightness washing over him again. "I'm pleased to inform you that we'd like to offer you the position of ATEEZ's assistant, effective as soon as you're available to start."
He heard your sharp intake of breath, followed by what sounded like an excited little bounce that made his smile widen further.
"Really? That'sâI'm honored," you responded, your voice vibrant with happiness. "Thank you so much for this opportunity."
"You were clearly the best candidate," Hongjoong said truthfully. "Your qualifications are excellent, and both Manager Minwoo and I believe you'll be a great fit with our team." He paused before adding, "The members who met you were quite impressed as well."
You couldn't help the grin that spread across your face at his words. The fact that San and Wooyoung had spoken positively about you after such a brief interaction was both surprising and flattering.
"That's very kind of them," you said. "They seemed wonderful as wellâexactly as energetic as I'd imagined from watching your content."
You heard Hongjoong chuckle on the other end of the line. "That's a diplomatic way of saying chaotic."
"Creative energy," you countered with a laugh. "It's part of why you're all so successful."
There was a warmth in his responding laugh that made your chest tighten pleasantly. "I like your perspective. When do you think you could start? I know you mentioned your lease ending at the end of the month..."
You considered quickly. Your current workplace required two weeks' notice, and you'd need time to pack, but the prospect of starting this new chapter sooner rather than later was incredibly appealing.
"I could give notice tomorrow and start with you in two weeks, if that works? That would give me time to properly transition my current responsibilities and pack my things.â
"Two weeks sounds perfect," Hongjoong agreed, pleased by your promptness. "That will give us time to prepare the guesthouse fully for your arrival and update all the necessary paperwork."
Through the glass doors of the balcony, he could see the others still gathered in the living room, now looking at him expectantly. Wooyoung was making exaggerated gestures, clearly trying to ask if you had accepted.
"Manager Minwoo will email you the formal offer letter and contract by tomorrow morning," Hongjoong continued. "If you have any questions after reviewing it, please don't hesitate to call me directly."
"I will, thank you," you replied, and he could hear the smile in your voice. "I'm really looking forward to working with you and the team."
"We're looking forward to having you join us," Hongjoong said, surprised by how deeply he meant those words. "I'll let you go now, but we'll be in touch soon with all the details."
After ending the call, Hongjoong stood for a moment on the balcony, a sense of satisfaction settling over him. When he finally turned to go back inside, he found himself face to face with Seonghwa, who had silently joined him on the balcony.
"She accepted?" Seonghwa asked, though it was clear from Hongjoong's expression that you had.
Hongjoong nodded. "She'll start in two weeks."
Seonghwa studied him carefully. "You seem particularly pleased about this hire."
"She's qualified and professional," Hongjoong said defensively. "Of course I'm pleased."
"Hmm," Seonghwa hummed noncommittally. "I look forward to meeting her and seeing what had you, San, and Wooyoung all so immediately impressed."
Before Hongjoong could respond, Seonghwa had already turned and headed back inside. Through the glass, Hongjoong could see Wooyoung bouncing excitedly as Seonghwa presumably shared the news.
With a small smile to himself, Hongjoong took one last look at the setting sun before following Seonghwa back inside, where the living room had erupted into animated discussions about what needed to be done before your arrival.
---
You hung up the phone and immediately flopped backward onto your bed, letting out a delighted squeal that you'd been suppressing during the call. You'd gotten the job! In two weeks, you'd be working with ATEEZ and living in that beautiful guesthouse.
A mixture of excitement and nervous energy coursed through you as you sat up and looked around your small bedroom. There was so much to doâgiving notice at your current job, packing, informing your roommates, preparing for the new role...
Your hand drifted once again to the scent blocker behind your ear. Working so closely with eight alpha idols would require vigilance in maintaining your blockers. As an omega in the entertainment industry, revealing your status could potentially complicate the professional relationship you hoped to build.
Yet despite this concern, you couldn't shake the feeling that something significant had just begunâsomething that went beyond a simple job opportunity. The way Hongjoong had looked at you, the immediate connection you'd felt with the members you'd met...
"One step at a time," you reminded yourself, reaching for your laptop to draft your resignation letter. "First, secure the transition. Then worry about everything else."
Still, as you began typing, your mind kept drifting back to the ATEEZ residence and the strange pull you'd felt there. Two weeks suddenly seemed both too long to wait and not nearly enough time to prepare for the changes ahead.
---
Back at the ATEEZ house, Jongho had finally returned from the gym to find the living room buzzing with news of your hiring.
"So we have a new assistant?" he asked, toweling off his hair as he joined the others. "What's she like?"
"Beautiful," Wooyoung declared immediately.
"Professional," Hongjoong corrected with a pointed look at Wooyoung.
"Both," San added with a grin.
Jongho looked between them, sensing something unusual in their responses. "And why do you all look like you've just discovered a new planet?"
Yeosang, always perceptive, leaned forward. "Because there's something they're not explaining very well. Apparently, all three of them felt some kind of immediate connection to her, despite her wearing scent blockers."
Jongho's eyebrows rose. "All three? That's... unusual."
"Exactly," Seonghwa agreed. "Which is why I'm curious to meet her myself."
"She moves in in two weeks," Mingi informed Jongho. "Hongjoong says she's qualified and experienced."
"And organized," Yunho added. "Which we desperately need."
Jongho nodded, processing the information. "Well, if she can bring some order to this chaos, I'm already a fan."
"Trust me," Wooyoung said, draping himself dramatically across the couch again. "You'll be more than a fan once you meet her. She has this... presence."
Seonghwa rolled his eyes, but there was a thoughtful expression on his face. It wasn't like three members of their pack to have such a strong, immediate reaction to someone, especially when scentâa crucial factor in alpha responsesâwas blocked.
"I guess we'll all find out soon enough," he said, his curiosity genuinely piqued.
Hongjoong, watching the exchange from his position by the window, felt a strange mixture of anticipation and possessiveness. Two weeks suddenly seemed like a very long time to wait before seeing you again.

Chapter 4: Finding Your Place
Your alarm chirped gently at 6:00 AM, pulling you from a dream you couldn't quite remember but that left you with a lingering sense of warmth. For a disorienting moment, you stared at the unfamiliar ceiling before remembering where you were: the ATEEZ guesthouse, your new home.
"First day," you murmured to yourself, reaching up to check your scent blocker patchâstill securely in place. The action had become so habitual you often did it without thinking, especially when anticipating stressful situations.
You slipped out of bed and padded to the window, pulling back the curtains to reveal the soft light of dawn spreading across the garden. The main house was still dark, its occupants likely still asleep. According to the preliminary schedule Minwoo had sent, most of the members wouldn't need to be up until 7:30 for a 9:00 AM meeting at the company.
After a quick shower, you dressed carefully in professional but comfortable attireâblack slacks, a crisp button-up shirt, and low heels that would allow you to move quickly if needed. As you applied a light layer of makeup, you ran through the day's schedule in your mind, mentally preparing for your first official day as ATEEZ's assistant.
Seonghwa's thoughtful basket of essentials meant you could enjoy a simple breakfast in your kitchen rather than having to venture out. As you sipped your coffee, you reviewed the notes you'd made from the materials Minwoo had sent over, committing key details to memory.
At precisely 6:45 AM, you left the guesthouse and made your way to the main house, the morning air crisp against your skin. You'd been given a key card to access the house, but hesitated briefly before using it. It felt strange to enter someone else's home while they might still be sleeping.
Just as you were debating whether to knock or use the card, the door opened, revealing Hongjoong, already dressed and looking surprisingly alert for the early hour.
"Good morning," he greeted you with a warm smile that sent a flutter through your stomach. "I thought I saw someone approaching from my window."
"I hope I'm not too early," you replied, suddenly second-guessing your timing. "Manager Minwoo suggested I arrive by 7:00 to prepare for the day."
Hongjoong stepped aside to let you enter. "Not at all. I'm usually the first one up, but Seonghwa shouldn't be far behind. The others..." He chuckled softly. "Let's just say waking them is an art form you'll need to master quickly."
Hongjoong led you through the quiet house to the kitchen, where the rich aroma of brewing coffee filled the air. Despite having already had a cup at the guesthouse, you found yourself accepting his offer of another. There was something intimate about sharing this early morning moment before the chaos of the day began.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked, leaning against the counter as he handed you a steaming mug.
"Surprisingly, yes," you admitted. "I usually have trouble sleeping in new places, but I was so exhausted from moving that I fell asleep almost immediately."
Hongjoong's smile was tinged with something like satisfaction. "I'm glad. The first day is always the hardestâgetting oriented, meeting everyone. Today should be a bit more structured."
You were about to respond when Seonghwa entered the kitchen, his hair slightly damp from a recent shower but otherwise immaculately put together. His eyes brightened upon seeing you.
"Y/n, good morning," he greeted, his voice warm. "You're an early riser too, I see."
"I wanted to get a head start," you explained. "There's a lot to learn."
Seonghwa nodded approvingly. "A good approach. I'm about to start breakfast for everyoneâwould you like something? I noticed you've already got coffee."
"Oh, thank you, but I ate at the guesthouse," you replied, touched by the offer. "Those groceries you brought over yesterday were perfect."
A pleased expression crossed Seonghwa's face. "I'm glad they were useful. Now, about waking the others..." He glanced at the clock on the wall. "They should be up in thirty minutes if we want to avoid a last-minute rush."
Hongjoong sighed dramatically. "And here's your first real challenge as our assistant, Y/n. Getting six sleepy alphas out of bed and ready on time is no small feat."
Your first lesson in ATEEZ's morning routine was both enlightening and amusing. Seonghwa, you quickly learned, had developed a systematic approach to waking each member based on their individual habits.
"Yunho is usually easyâjust knock and call his name," Seonghwa explained as you followed him down the hallway. "Jongho too, though he might need a second reminder. Wooyoung and San are the real challenges."
"They sleep deeply?" you asked, mentally taking notes for future reference.
"More like they actively resist waking up," Hongjoong interjected from behind you, amusement evident in his voice. "Wooyoung once pretended to be sleepwalking to avoid a morning schedule."
True to Seonghwa's prediction, Yunho responded to a simple knock and call, his deep voice answering with a cheerful, "I'm up, I'm up!" Jongho, in the next room, took a second knock but then emerged almost immediately, already dressed in workout clothes.
"Morning run?" Seonghwa asked as Jongho greeted you with a polite bow.
"Just some quick exercises," Jongho replied. "Good morning, Y/n-noona. Ready for your first day?"
The honorific caught you by surpriseâyou had forgotten you were only a little older than him. "As ready as I'll ever be," you replied with a smile.
Yeosang proved to be a moderate challengeârequiring multiple knocks and some gentle coaxing, but eventually responding with a quiet acknowledgment.
When you reached Mingi's door, Seonghwa knocked firmly several times before calling his name. Just as he was about to knock again, the door swung openârevealing a sleepy-eyed Mingi wearing only low-hanging sweatpants, his broad chest and defined abs completely exposed.
Your eyes widened involuntarily, heat rushing to your cheeks as you found yourself momentarily frozen. The morning light from the hallway window highlighted the contours of his muscular torso, you could feel your omega stir before you quickly averted your gaze, focusing intently on the notepad in your hands.
"Hyung, I'm up, I'mâ" Mingi's sleepy voice cut off abruptly as he registered your presence. "Oh! Y/n!"
You risked a glance up to see his eyes now fully alert, a deep flush spreading across his face as he hastily retreated into his room. He emerged seconds later wearing a hastily donned t-shirt, his expression a mixture of embarrassment and apology.
"I didn't realize you were... I mean, I thought it was just Seonghwa-hyung," he explained, running a hand through his impressively tousled hair. His sleepy smile was oddly endearing despite the awkward moment. "Sorry about that."
"No problem," you managed to say professionally, though you could still feel warmth in your cheeks. "We're just doing morning wake-up calls."
Hongjoong, who had witnessed the entire exchange from further down the hallway, cleared his throat softly, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Our new angel of organization," Mingi greeted you with exaggerated formality, clearly trying to move past the moment. His attempt at dignity was undermined by both his lingering blush and a massive yawn. "Please have mercy on us this morning."
You couldn't help but laugh, the tension dissolving. "I'll consider it, since it's my first day."
San and Wooyoung, however, lived up to their reputation. Seonghwa knocked repeatedly on San's door with no response, finally opening it to reveal a room plunged in darkness by blackout curtains and a San-shaped lump buried under blankets.
"San-ah," Seonghwa called firmly. "Meeting at 9:00. You need to get up now."
A muffled groan emerged from the pile of bedding. "Five more minutes, hyung."
Seonghwa glanced at you with a look that clearly said, *See what I mean?* before approaching the bed. With practiced efficiency, he pulled back the curtains, allowing morning light to flood the room.
The reaction was immediateâSan retreated further under the covers with a dramatic whine. "It burns!"
"It's just sunshine," Seonghwa replied drily. "Y/n is here to help with the morning routine. Don't make her first impression of you be this pitiful sight."
At the mention of your name, San's head emerged from the blankets, his hair sticking up at impossible angles but his eyes suddenly alert. "Y/n? Oh!" He sat up quickly, making a futile attempt to smooth his hair. "Good morning. I didn't realize... I'll be ready in ten minutes."
Hongjoong, who had been watching from the doorway, caught your eye with a knowing smirk. "Amazing how that works, isn't it?"
Wooyoung proved to be the final boss of the morning wake-up challenge. Not only did he fail to respond to knocks, calls, and light, but when Seonghwa finally managed to rouse him, he immediately tried to go back to sleep the moment Seonghwa turned his back.
"I've tried everything," Seonghwa confessed to you as Wooyoung's soft snores resumed behind him. "Short of dumping water on him, which I've been tempted to do more than once."
"Maybe I have an idea," you said, a sudden inspiration striking you. You stepped into the hallway and pulled out your phone, searching for something specific. When you found it, you returned to Wooyoung's doorway and pressed play.
The opening notes of ATEEZ's most recent title track filled the room at full volume. Almost immediately, Wooyoung's eyes flew open and he sat up.
"That's my part coming up!" he exclaimed, suddenly fully awake. When his brain caught up with reality and he realized what was happening, he stared at you in astonishment. "That was sneaky."
You shrugged, trying not to smile too broadly at your success. "But effective."
Seonghwa looked impressed. "Well, that's a new technique to add to our arsenal."
Wooyoung flopped back dramatically but kept his eyes open. "I feel betrayed by our new assistant already," he lamented, though his lips were twitching with suppressed laughter. "But I respect the strategy."
---
By 8:15 AM, all eight members were gathered in the kitchen, in various states of wakefulness but all dressed and fed thanks to Seonghwa's efficient breakfast preparation. You sat at the counter, reviewing the day's schedule with Hongjoong while the others ate.
"After the 9:00 AM meeting, you all have dance practice until noon," you recited, checking your notes. "Jongho has vocal training for an hour after that, a light lunch then the photoshoot for that clothing brand at 3:00 PM, dinner break, then the variety show filming begins at 8:00 PM."
Hongjoong nodded, looking impressed by your thorough grasp of their complex schedule. "That's right. And where will you be throughout all this?"
"Manager Minwoo suggested I shadow different members throughout the day to get a feel for the activities," you explained. "Starting with him at the morning meeting."
"Good plan," Hongjoong approved. "Just don't let Wooyoung convince you to skip anything to get bubble tea instead."
From across the kitchen, Wooyoung protested through a mouthful of eggs. "I would never!"
"You tried four times last month alone," Seonghwa corrected, setting down a plate of additional toast in the center of the table.
The easy banter continued as breakfast wrapped up. You observed the dynamics carefully, noting who needed reminders to eat (Yeosang, who seemed easily distracted), who might need extra time to get ready (Wooyoung, obviously), and who could be counted on to help maintain order (Seonghwa and Jongho).
By 8:30, everyone was loading into the two company vans that had arrived to transport you all to KQ Entertainment. You found yourself in the second van with Yunho, San, Wooyoung, and Jongho, while Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yeosang, and Mingi took the first.
"So, Y/n," Yunho began conversationally as the van pulled away from the house, "Are you ready for today? Nervous at all?â
You considered Yunho's question thoughtfully. "Iâm excited. I like environments where things are always changing," you replied. "And I enjoy supporting creative peopleâhelping build the structure that allows their talents to shine."
San, who had claimed the seat beside you, nodded appreciatively. "That's a good way of looking at it. Our last assistant was good, but he always seemed stressed by the unpredictability."
"That's because Wooyoung kept changing plans without telling him," Jongho pointed out from the front passenger seat.
Wooyoung clutched his chest in mock offense. "Why am I being attacked this morning? I'm an absolute delight to work with."
The driver, who had clearly been with them for some time, coughed in a way that sounded suspiciously like a suppressed laugh.
"You'll see," Yunho told you with a grin. "Working with us is never boring, that's for sure."
"I look forward to the challenge," you replied with a smile, genuinely meaning it. Despite the complexity of the schedule and the unique personalities you'd be managing, there was something exciting about the prospect.
San studied your face with curious intensity. "You really aren't intimidated, are you? Most people would be nervous about suddenly being responsible for eight alphas' schedules."
You shrugged, careful to keep your expression neutral. "I've worked with artist management before. The key is treating everyone as individuals first, rather than focusing on status."
"Smart," Jongho commented approvingly. "Though I should warn you, during comeback preparations, all of us can get a bit... intense."
"Especially Hongjoong-hyung," Wooyoung added. "He barely sleeps during production periods."
You filed this information away for future reference. "I'll keep that in mind. Any other warnings I should know about?"
What followed was an enthusiastic rundown of member quirks that you suspected was equal parts helpful and exaggerated. According to Wooyoung, San became "clingy like a koala" when tired, Yunho stress-ate chocolate cookies before performances, and Yeosang sometimes disappeared for hours when he needed alone time.
âAnd Mingi?â You asked hesitantly, not wanting to seem too eager. Your omega seemed surprisingly interested in the alpha.Â
Yunhoâs eyes lit up with amusement. âAh, Mingi-ah. Heâs actually the most affectionate of all of us, believe it or not. Super tactileâloves hugs and casual touches, especially when heâs comfortable with someone.â He leaned forward slightly, dropping his voice. âBut heâs also really conscious of his alpha energy, so he tries to tone it down around new people.â
âHe composes in the middle of the night,â San added. âYou might hear him pacing sometimesâwhen he gets a melody stuck in his head, he canât sleep until he works it out.â
âAnd heâs weirdly sensitive about his cooking,â Wooyoung chimed in with a grin. âHe tries so hard but somehow always manages to burn something. Never criticize his food unless you want to see a six-foot-tall alpha pout for days.â
âDonât believe everything they tell you,â Jongho advised from the front seat, though he was smiling. âThey exaggerate.â
By the time you arrived at the company building, you were laughing and mentally cataloging all these insights, already feeling more equipped to navigate your new role.
---
The morning meeting at KQ Entertainment was your first glimpse into the professional side of ATEEZ's world. The conference room held not only the eight members but also Manager Minwoo, several production staff, the company's PR director, and two choreographers. You sat beside Minwoo, taking detailed notes as various topics were discussedâthe upcoming comeback timeline, concept direction, individual schedules, and potential international appearances.
You noticed how the dynamics shifted in this professional setting. Hongjoong took the lead in most discussions, his leader role clearly established, while Seonghwa offered thoughtful input on logistics. The others contributed when their areas of expertise were relevantâYunho on dance elements, Mingi and Hongjoong on production aspects, Jongho on vocal arrangements.
"And we've added Y/n L/n to our team as the new group assistant," Minwoo announced toward the end of the meeting, gesturing to you. "She'll be handling coordination between departments and managing the members' schedules going forward."
All eyes turned to you, and you straightened slightly, offering a professional smile. "I look forward to working with everyone to support ATEEZ's activities," you said, your voice clear and confident despite the sudden attention.
The PR director, a sharp-eyed woman named Director Kang, assessed you with interest. "Good timing. With the comeback and world tour planning underway, we needed someone to keep these eight in line." Her tone was strict but her eyes held a hint of warmth.
"I'm up for the challenge," you assured her, earning approving nods from several staff members.
As the meeting concluded, people began filtering out of the room. Minwoo hung back with you, providing additional context for some of the discussions.
"You'll be joining them at dance practice," he explained, consulting his tablet. "Then the photoshoot. I've arranged for you to mainly observe the activities today to get a comprehensive view of their schedules."
You nodded, gathering your notes. "That sounds perfect. I appreciate the thorough onboarding."
"You seem to be adjusting well already," Minwoo observed. "Usually new staff are overwhelmed by day one."
"I'm sure I'll have my moments," you admitted with a small smile. "But I work best when jumping right in."
Minwoo appeared satisfied with your response. "Good attitude. That's why Hongjoong was so confident about hiring you." He glanced at his watch. "The dance studio is on the third floor. The others should be heading there now."
---
The dance studio was a large space with mirrored walls and polished floors, already filled with alpha energy as they all warmed up under the choreographer's guidance. You slipped inside quietly, taking a seat against the wall where you could observe without being in the way.
Wooyoung spotted you immediately, waving enthusiastically mid-stretch. "Y/n! Come to witness greatness?"
The choreographer, who introduced himself as Hyunwoo, nodded acknowledgment in your direction. "You're the new assistant? Good. Maybe you can help keep them focused. Especially that one." He pointed at Wooyoung, who grinned unrepentantly.
"I'll do my best," you promised, settling in to watch.
What followed was a revelation. The playful, sometimes chaotic energy you'd witnessed at the house transformed into laser-focused precision as soon as the music started. Yunho's tall frame moved with surprising grace and power, while San's performance exuded an intensity that seemed at odds with his usually gentle demeanor. Even Wooyoung, for all his morning resistance, executed complex movements with sharp accuracy.
You found yourself captivated by their dedication, the way they repeated sequences without complaint, fine-tuning details most people would never notice. When they paused for water after forty-five minutes of continuous practice, all three were breathing hard but immediately discussing improvements.
"The transition after the bridge needs to be tighter," Yunho was saying, demonstrating a subtle adjustment to his movement.
San nodded, wiping sweat from his brow. "And I think we're slightly off-beat during the chorus formation change."
"How are you finding it?" Wooyoung asked, suddenly appearing beside you with a water bottle in hand. "Boring? Amazing? Both?"
"Impressive," you replied honestly. "The difference between your practice mode and casual mode is striking."
Wooyoung beamed at the compliment. "We're professionals. Don't let the breakfast chaos fool you."
"I'm starting to see that," you acknowledged with a smile.
The choreographer called them back, and Wooyoung rejoined the others. You continued watching, occasionally making notes about potential schedule considerationsâthe physical intensity meant they would need adequate recovery time, proper meals, and possibly physiotherapy sessions during heavy practice periods.
By the time practice ended at, you had a new appreciation for the physical demands of their work. As they gathered their things, you approached with towels you'd noticed stacked by the door, offering one to each.
t's the small things, you reminded yourself.
"Thanks," Hongjoong said, accepting the towel gratefully. His eyes held appreciation that seemed to extend beyond the simple gesture. "How are you finding everything so far?"
"Informative," you replied. "And impressive. You all work incredibly hard."
Something like pride flashed across his face. "We try. This is just a regular practice dayâcomeback preparation gets much more intense."
"I'll be prepared," you assured him, already mentally adjusting your expectations of what "intense" might look like in their world.
---
The afternoon brought a change of pace with the photoshoot for a clothing brand. While the morning had been relatively structured with the meeting and practice, the photoshoot at an industrial warehouse-turned-studio was more chaotic, with multiple staff buzzing around, stylists fussing over outfits, and makeup artists working on touch-ups between shots.
You found your place quickly, liaising between the photography director and the members, keeping track of shot lists, and ensuring everyone stayed on schedule. It was the kind of organized chaos you excelled in navigatingâanticipating needs before they arose and solving small problems before they became larger ones.
"Water?" you offered to Yeosang after he finished his individual shots, noting how he'd been under the hot lights for nearly forty minutes.
He accepted with a small but genuine smile. "Thank you. You're very observant."
"Part of the job," you replied, though his quiet acknowledgment was satisfying.
When the photography director suggested the set rotation order be changed, you smoothly coordinated with the styling team to ensure outfits were ready in the new sequence, preventing what could have been a thirty-minute delay.
"I'm impressed," Manager Minwoo commented, appearing beside you as you updated the schedule notation on your tablet. "You've found your rhythm quickly."
"It helps that they're professionals," you said, gesturing toward the members who were all focused on their tasks despite the long day.
"Don't sell yourself short," Minwoo countered. "Not everyone can keep track of eight different personalities and all these moving parts on day one."
You smiled, accepting the compliment with a nod. "Thank you. I'm enjoying the challenge."
As the group shots began, you found yourself watching the dynamics with growing familiarity. Seonghwa quietly adjusted Wooyoung's collar when the stylist was busy elsewhere. Hongjoong subtly directed the others with small gestures, ensuring everyone was positioned optimally. Jongho maintained his serious expression until San whispered something that made him break into a reluctant smile, immediately lightening the mood for everyone.
When the photographer called for a brief set change, Mingi approached where you were reviewing notes beside the monitor.
"How's your first day going?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck in a gesture you were beginning to recognize as a habit when he felt slightly uncertain.Â
"It's going well," you replied with a smile. "Just trying to absorb all the information."
"You seem like you've been doing this for years already," he said, and there was genuine admiration in his voice. "Usually new staff look overwhelmed by now, but you're just... handling everything."
You felt a small flush of pleasure at his observation. "That's kind of you to say. I'm sure I'll make plenty of mistakes as I learn the ropes."
"We all do," Mingi shrugged, then lowered his voice conspirationally. "Sorry again about this morning, by the way. Not exactly the most professional second impression."
You couldn't help the slight color that rose to your cheeks at the memory of him shirtless in the doorway. "It's fine. Occupational hazard of living and working in the same space, I suppose."
Mingi's smile widened, a hint of unexpected confidence breaking through his earlier uncertainty. "Next time I'll try to be more properly dressed. Or not. Depends on whether you enjoyed the view."
The teasing comment caught you off guard, and you felt your blush deepen. Before you could formulate a response that maintained professional boundaries while acknowledging the light flirtation, the photography director called Mingi back for the next shot.
Mingi winked at you before turning away, leaving you slightly flustered but with a small smile tugging at your lips despite your efforts to remain composed. The brief interaction had sparked something warm in your chest that you quickly tried to suppress. He was your colleague, one of your eight alpha employers. Lines needed to be clear.
Yet as you watched him return to the set, moving with easy confidence into the next pose, you couldn't quite ignore the subtle pull you felt toward himâsimilar to, yet somehow distinct from, what you'd experienced with each of the other members.
---
"Dinner in twenty minutes!" The production assistant announced as the photoshoot finally wrapped up. "Please be ready to move to the variety show filming after you eat."
You checked your watchânearly 7:00 PM. The photoshoot had run almost an hour over schedule, cutting into the dinner break before the variety show filming. Anticipating potential issues, you approached the catering table where staff were setting up food.
"Excuse me," you said politely to the head caterer. "Is it possible to have some food boxed separately? The members might need to eat while getting ready for the next schedule since we're running behind."
The caterer nodded, appreciating your foresight. "No problem. We can prepare eight boxes."
"Thank you," you said gratefully, then turned to find Manager Minwoo, who was conferring with the production team. "Minwoo-ssi, I've arranged for boxed meals in case we need to eat during transport or makeup."
He looked up from his tablet with an approving nod. "Good thinking. The variety show PD just calledâthey're ready for us whenever we arrive, but they can't delay the start time past 8:15."
"I'll let the members know we're on a tight schedule," you offered, already moving toward where most of them were gathered, removing microphones and thanking the photography staff.
Seonghwa noticed your approach and the slight furrow in your brow. "Schedule adjustment?"
"We're running a bit tight for the variety show," you confirmed. "I've arranged boxed meals in case we need to eat on the go."
Hongjoong, who had overheard, nodded gratefully. "Smart move. Let's gather everyone and head out as soon as possible."
Within fifteen minutes, you had all eight members, their necessary belongings, and the boxed meals loaded into the vans. As you settled into your seat, Yunho passed you one of the food boxes.
"You need to eat too," he said kindly. "First days are exhausting."
You accepted with a grateful smile, suddenly realizing how hungry you were. The day had been so busy you'd barely registered your own needs.
"Thank you," you said, opening the box to find a appetizing meal inside. "I hadn't even thought about it."
"We noticed," San said from beside you. "You've been making sure everyone else is taken care of all day."
"That's literally my job," you pointed out with a small laugh.
"Still," Wooyoung interjected from the seat ahead, turning around to face you. "The good assistants remember their own needs too. Can't help us if you collapse from hunger."
The concern, though delivered with Wooyoung's characteristic dramatics, was genuine. You felt a strange warmth at the realization that they had been watching out for you even as you tried to take care of them.
"I'll keep that in mind," you promised, taking a bite of the food.
---
As the van slowed in traffic, you finished your meal and carefully packed away the empty container. The day's events were catching up with youânot exhaustion exactly, but a pleasant fatigue that came from a day well spent. You shifted slightly in your seat, trying to find a more comfortable position, when you became aware of Hongjoong's proximity beside you.
He had claimed the seat next to you when they'd rearranged for the evening trip, and now in the dim interior lighting of the van, you were acutely conscious of the subtle warmth radiating from his body. His arm rested along the back of the seat, not quite touching you but close enough that you could feel his presence like a magnetic pull. Even without being able to detect his scent through your blocker, something about his proximity made your omega instincts hum with an inexplicable sense of comfort and rightness.
"How are you holding up?" Hongjoong asked quietly, his voice pitched low enough that it wouldn't disturb the others. Wooyoung had dozed off in the seat ahead, and San was absorbed in his phone beside him.
"Better than I expected," you admitted, turning slightly to face him. The movement brought you closer, and you found yourself studying his profile in the passing streetlights. "It's been a good day."
"I'm glad," he said, and something in his tone made you look at him more carefully. His dark eyes held an intensity that seemed at odds with the casual conversation. "You've impressed everyone today. Manager Minwoo, the staff, the members..."
"And you?" The question slipped out before you could stop it, more personal than you'd intended.
Hongjoong's gaze met yours directly, and for a moment the space between you seemed charged with something unspoken. "Especially me," he said softly.
The van hit a pothole, jostling everyone slightly. Instinctively, Hongjoong's hand moved to steady you, his palm landing gently on your arm just above your elbow. The touch was brief, professional even, but neither of you moved away immediately.
"Sorry," he murmured, though his hand remained where it was, his thumb unconsciously brushing against the fabric of your shirt. "These streets are terrible."
"It's fine," you managed, hyper-aware of the warmth of his palm against your arm. The simple contact sent an unexpected flutter through your chest, and you found yourself fighting the urge to lean into the touch.
You should pull away, maintain professional boundaries. But something about the quiet intimacy of the momentâthe dim lighting, the gentle rumble of the van, the way Hongjoong was looking at you like you were something precious and unexpectedâmade you hesitate.
"Y/n," he said quietly, and your name on his lips sounded different somehow. More personal. His hand slid down slightly, fingers curling around your wrist in a gesture that could have been casual but felt anything but. "I know today was a lot. New job, new living situation, eight new personalities to manage..."
His thumb found your pulse point, whether intentionally or not, and you wondered if he could feel how your heart rate had picked up at his touch.
"I want you to know that if you ever feel overwhelmed, or if any of us make you uncomfortable in any way, you can talk to me," he continued, his voice carrying the weight of his alpha authority but also something softer. "Your well-being matters to me. To all of us."
The sincerity in his words, combined with the gentle pressure of his fingers against your wrist, made your breath catch slightly. "Thank you," you said, your voice barely above a whisper. "That... that means a lot."
For a long moment, you simply looked at each other. The space between you seemed to shrink, and you became aware of every detailâthe way his dark hair fell across his forehead, the subtle flecks of gold in his brown eyes, the way his lips parted slightly as if he wanted to say something more.
The van began to slow, and the bright lights of the variety show studio came into view through the windows. The moment of privacy was ending, and you both seemed to realize it simultaneously.
Hongjoong's hand reluctantly released your wrist, his fingers trailing across your skin for just a heartbeat longer than necessary. "We're here," he said unnecessarily, his voice slightly rougher than before.
"Right," you agreed, though you made no immediate move to gather your things.
As the van came to a complete stop and the others began stirring, preparing for the next part of their schedule, Hongjoong leaned slightly closer to you one more time.
"Welcome to the team, Y/n," he said quietly, his breath warm against your ear. "I have a feeling you're going to fit in perfectly."
The words sent a shiver down your spine that had nothing to do with the evening air, and as you finally moved to collect your belongings, you found yourself wondering if the "team" he was referring to meant something more than just professional colleagues.
The van doors opened, letting in the cool night air and the excited chatter of waiting fans, effectively breaking the spell. But as you stepped out into the bright lights of the studio entrance, you could still feel the ghost of Hongjoong's touch on your wrist, and the memory of his words echoed in your mind.
Whatever this job would bring, you were beginning to suspect it would be far more complicatedâand far more interestingâthan you had ever imagined.

You woke to a whole pack of males surrounding you, smirks and giggles. Purring-
What the hell. What the living fuck.
You resisted the urge to cower down and cuddle into the comfort of the nest you were forced in, to purr and present yourself for your pack- your alphas. You ignored the heat pooling between your thighs. It had been centuries practically since your last heat. Which meant this one was going to fucking suck. You couldnât help the distressed tears coming to your eyes as you sat up, a big hand resting on your back with a rumble. Yunho. Him and Mingi had taken the spots of Hongjoong and Seonghwa.
Mingi had always been a place of comfort for you- he was sweet, and an omega too. You hated how your body wanted to cuddle into him and let him hold you as his mate pounded into your cunt- knotting your pussy and filling you up with his pups-
Fuck. You took a shaky breath, trying to clear your dirty thoughts. Nope, not happening. Your omega was not getting her way.
The boys could feel your mental battle as you fought to control your thoughts, and they knew it was only a matter of time before you broke under them. But they would wait, patient and caring or their favorite little omega. Their pup of the pack- the runt, the baby.
âYouâll get sick and hurt yourself the more you fight it, y/n.â Mingi whispered, his voice wasnât even full of desire- it was full of concern. he had been in heat sickness before, It was torture, every opmega knew heat sickness was one of the most dangerous and worse pains they could have. They would only wait for so long, because Hongjoong- or any of them were going to let you go down that rabbit hole.
âIâm hungry.â You interrupted, ignoring his words and how right he was. You hated this- you hated this sickening smell of love and care in this fuck ass nest. Yunhoâs claws scratched gently at your back in a comforting method as Jongho stood,
âI got it, joong.â He muttered, leaving the room- you barely managed to control the whimper your throat let out as he left. You hated it- why was your beta leaving you-
A purr rumbled as Mingi nuzzled into your neck, distracting you from your distraught, making you yelp as he nibbled territorially on your neck- blush rising to your face. Hongjoong sleepily growled in warning from where he and Seonghwa were cuddled at the end of the massive bed. Though it was clear he wasnât really upset, just warning the tall omega to be more gentle. Yunho chuckled as Mingi pouted, when you moved away to closer to Yunho. There really wasnât anywhere to go- the whole pack was piled in this room, cuddling napping, playing on their phones- one thing was in common, all attention was directed towards you.
Jongho returned, making you relax as the beta sat beside you on the bed, sitting a big plate of food on your lap. It was more of a brunch meal, considering you had slept in. They all had, industry work could wait. They get approved breaks for ruts and heats anyways. And they were already swimming in money. You stared in a somewhat shocked bu not really at the piles of food, plus the extra snacks he had brought. You imediately reached for the bag of chips only to yelp when San swatted your hand from where he laid with Wooyoung. âEat the food on your plate first, then you can have snacks.â He reprimanded, making you pout.
Of course they were making you eat the bacon, eggs and toast first. Stupid alphas. Always made you eat your protein and whatever first. Bleh.
You begrudgingly ate the yummy food that the beta had cooked for you, hating how good it tasted. Or the way Hongjoong sleepily observed while running his hands through Seonghwaâs hair. Stupid fucking alphas always making sure you ate everything.
When you tried to give the plate away with a few bites left you were scolded and forced to eat the last bit. That was one thing that was normal to you- they had a big problem with you or any of the other omegas not finishing the food prepared, it wasnât respect so much as as alphas they prided themselves on keeping their omegas fed and well nutritioned. If your stomach wasnât full they would get pissy.
You were too full to even get into your favorite snacks just yet, but Jongho set them off to the nightstand with plenty of fluids. It was extremely important to keep an omega in pre-heat hydrated, and well fed. And of course well rested. You stared off into space, pouting internally. You groaned, whimpering as you were pulled into Yunho as he protectively held you, hands going to your stomach, where he knew the cramps and pain was. He applied gentle pressure, nuzzling and purring, using his scent to comfort and heat to soothe your pains. And it helped so much before sharp claws you recognized by instinct grasped at your hips- Hongjoong, pulling you away from Yunho with a huff , tucking you into hold. Pack leader were awfully cocky and possessive, always needing to be first and the one o care for any pack members who are extremely vunerable.
You relaxed into his hold, the room going silent as you uncnsented purr released, your alpha soothin your heat pains with his attention, claws diggin into his biceps like a kitten clasping their owner for security. Coos from the room sounded as everyone curled in, various cuddling and different positions, hands finding some point to touch you with comfort as they turned your favorite show on.
Seonghwa shifted into your back- pressing you flush into your alpha. You blushed feeling something rock hard- his knot push into your thigh. Hongjoong tucked your head into his neck, letting you suck and nip. He knew you needed this- you needed comfort and stability. His girthy knot may be swelling in preparation- but they knew it would still be awhile until you were ready for them. Just not yet.
You didnât process Seonghwaâs giggle as he cupped your chest, kneeding gently as you fell into a deep space, sleepily resting again, napping and bathing in the attention from your soon to be mates- despite how wrong it was. Or how dangerous these idols were.
Warnings: SMALL TEASER, Yandere a/b/o Ateez x 9th member reader, omega reader, alpha hongjoong, seonghwa, san, yeosang and yunho, omega mingi and wooyoung, beta jongho, yandere, DEAD DOVE DO NOT EAT, dark content, aggresivenes, feral lycan boys, ongoing series, this is in no way I picture the boys, and you shouldn't either this is a work of fiction.
a/n: Uhmm yeah idk guys im back lamo and here for Ateez, Im a new stan so hehe! This is just a teaser of the first chapter thats soon to release!
Being the only girl in Ateez was interesting to say the least. You had never planned on it either- matter of fact you didnât even know who Ateez was until you became a trainee in the KQ entertainment. You were due to become a solo artist- topping all the other trainees until one day, during a dance practice, they announced youâd be the 9th member of Ateez. It had made no sense at the time- in fact it still doesnât. They had been branded on 8 members- debuted with 8- so why were you, a girl- added into a boy group?
You hadnât even met them yet. And you were completely positive this would be their ruining. Their fans would hate you- no doubt, and they would too. A random female omega added into a kpop group of boys with no warning? You all were doomed. But none of you had any choice but to listen to the company. But there was no doubt in your mind this would be your ruining.
That was 3 months ago. You had officially debuted as the 9th member of Ateez after months of training with them. You had years of their experiences to catch up on- choregraphies to fit in, songs to sing in, and more. It had been non-stop practice and singing. To your shock- Atiny didnât despise you. If anything they loved you. You brought a whole new aspect into Ateez- a new dynamic. That had been extremely shocking, but what was more shocking was the fact the boys liked you too. Ever since the start- they were a perfect painting of calm, like they expected this, like they knew you were already going to be joining their idol group. They were kind, maybe a little too kind at times, but at least they didn't hate you. Right?
A hand on your head brought you out of your thoughts as you glanced up to meet Wooyoungâs boba eyes. His saccharine scent was practically drowning the hotel room in him.
âHey, have you eaten yet? Sanâs bringing back some shake shack for everyone.â The tall omega asked, chuckling unbotheredly as you pulled away from his touch- you were always running from them, werenât you? He thought, only smirking and licking his lips as his scent flared in the room. You were always so unbothered by him- and he hated that part. He was used to being fawned over, adored, and more. You could tell that one from the beginning.
âOh Iâm okay Woo, tell him I said thanks though.â Your response was curt- you wouldnât accept food from alphas- or any of them.Â
It had driven every single one of them crazy, all of them- the alphas, omegas and even Jongho who was a beta had strong instincts to feed and provide for you- but you always denied them. You wouldnât submit and be their 9th pack member- you acted as if you were only a coworker. Not their omega. And all of them had about enough of your bullshit with it. Especially the alphas of the pack. Wooyoungâs tight smile showed his irritation as he nodded, wandering off to him and Sanâs bed. You had been sharing this hotel room with them for this weekend. It was very nice- only two beds though. Which hadn't been a problem since all of Ateez had been used to sleeping together, side by side. You never thought about it or saw it as weird. They were a pack of course they would. You were just thankful you had your own bed to yourself.
You went back to your own business as did Wooyoung. You went back to your gaming, humming along quietly to one of the newer songs you had been helping your captain with. It wasnât even 10 minutes later when San bursted in the room, carrying his and Wooyoungâs bags of food. He mustâve handed off the other their food already. You looked up and smiled respectfully from your place on the bed as San waltzed in plopping on his shared bed and spreading the food out. Wooyoung leaned in, whispering in Sanâs ears, something you couldnât hear and you decided to turn away instantly. It wasnât your business, and you didnât wanna intrude. You laid on your stomach, pillow under your chin as you continued gaming on your phone not suspecting anything out of the ordinary- or that Wooyoung was snitching on you for denying their food.
Claws scraping your neck and lifting you up like a misbehaving cat make you yell, kicking immediately, finding Sanâs glare. It brings you to a pause in shock, because he had never looked this pissed off before- or acted this insane. His growl permeated the air as he sat you down on their bed in front of Wooyoung who smiled like a psychopath, his scent thickening.Â
âYou donât get to refuse to eat when we get you food, omega.â San puffed, gone his usual gentlemen-ness. You sat in frozen shock, hand on your neck from where he had grabbed it. He had never once been aggressive with you, but his thickening and dominant scent told you he wasnât playing games. Eyes shining red, and lips upturned in a disturbing threatening smirk. What the fuck? And what happened to using your name like a normal person? You stopped the returning growl bubbling in your throat.
You briefly considered your options, eat or deny and lecture him on personal space? But the thing was- they didnât care. None of them seemed to care about your obvious resentment to their touch- even Jongho had been touchy feely with you, despite your shock and many lectures. They acted as if they had a right to you and you were nothing but some grumpy cat.Â
You hated it. But tonight your body ached from hours of dance practice- you were exhausted and simply you did not have the energy to wrestle with the pissy alpha who stood behind you. It didnât help that you were hungry too. So with a sigh you accepted the big box of your favorite order from Wooyoung, not even questioning how they knew your order. Mustâve been a good guess.Â
San and wooyoung both watched with predatory eyes as they waited for you to take your first bite, and when you finally bit into your burger, they seemed to calm immediately, the uneasy energy leaving the room as San joined you on their bed. The rest of the night was followed with idle conversation about the next concert performance scheduled for tomorrow before you quickly retreated back to your bed when they threw away their trash and started to cuddle. You didnât even notice the growl in Wooyoungâs throat when you left them. They had hoped maybe tonight would be a breakthrough of your stubbornness and youâd cuddle with them, but nonetheless it wasnât.
San ran his claws through Wooyoungâs hair, comforting the omega. They both hated waiting for you. All of them did. But he knew youâd break for them one day, it was just a waiting game. For now he settled with holding his omega, and watching you- his soon to be omega from where you slept cuddled to a pillow protectively. He cooed gently, wrapping his body around Wooyoung and finally relaxing into a deep sleep at seeing both his omegas were at peace and fulfilled for tonight. But he and Wooyoung couldnât deny the aching hole in all of their hearts at the fact you hadnât accepted them yet.
Stomps from carefully memorized dances rung out as the music blasted through the practice room. You finished your last step, posing with the sweaty boys as the finalizing conclusion of the song, hands on Hongjoongâs shoulder as the boys surrounded him with you in a various group pose. You all took a deep breath when the final note played out and relaxed- it had been well over 3 hours of dancing today. The scent of alpha musk and the sweet scent of the two omegas filled the room. They smelled intoxicating- all of them. And they never wore scent blockers- but thankfully your suppressants kept your omega in check. Without them- you probably would be licking at them like some decrepit fan.Â
The thought makes you gag mentally as you drop by your duffle bag, leaning against the giant cold mirror as you practically drown yourself with your water, letting the iced hydration run through your mouth and into your stomach with big gulps.
Your mind drifted to your suppressants as you searched your bag, grabbing the small pack of pills. These small things kept you stable- you havenât had your heat in probably about 6 years. Suppressants for omegas nowadays were controversial, and despite the new age it was still believed omegaâs shouldnât be on suppressants once they have a pack. In a pack, alphaâs can soothe and care for their omegas during their heats- alphas were biologically programmed to be a safe place for omegas and have everything they need. Suppressants also had some.. side effects, that werenât considered good for an omega. Due to preventing your heat it also prevented natural omega instincts, like nesting, or obeying alphas. And after your heat being prevented for so long, your body had a chance of shutting down and going into heat sickness.
But those were all very rare with the brand you had been using. You have been perfectly fine for the last six years. And you didnât have a pack. You had work to do, you didnât have time to sit in a bed for a whole week horny and in pain. You checked the time before popping the pill for today out of the pack and swallowing it down, not even noticing the stares from your âcoworkersâ. A voice made you open your eyes, body still sore from the hours of intense dancing.
âWhat are you taking?â You looked up, meeting pretty Yunho who had come to crouch in front of you, head tilted as his eyes scrutinized the pills in your hand. What a weirdo. You looked behind him to see you had gained the attention of everyone- and they looked heavily pissed. Yunhoâs usual golden retriever energy had dropped.
âMy suppressants ...? Iâm sorry I donât understand why any of this is your business-"
Your defenses were cut off by a dangerous growl echoing from Hongjoong. Your captain towered over you, eyes red and claws elongated. You barely had time to process hands prying the package out of your grasp- eyes turning to see Seonghwa crushing the whole thing with his hands with a feral smirk. âWhat the fuck-â
You were cut off once again by Hongjoongâs claws roughly grabbing you by the hair, pinning you against the floor with a newfound aggressiveness. You cried out, flinching as pain exploded in your head when it banged roughly on the wooden floor, vision going blurry almost instantly.
Your lack of sense in the moment didn't prevent you from trying to fight off the feral thing on top of you, clawing and screaming at Hongjoong to get off of you. But your dull tiny claws did nothing against Hongjoongâs tough skin, as he smirked dangerously, a warning growl echoing through his throat again.
The room had gone silent as his hand found your throat, wrapping around it as he forced eye contact. Ateez watched their captain, relaxing for once since you had joined them. Hongjoong had finally snapped. All of them had been yearning and growing relentlessly ever since you became a trainee, bumping into seonghwa one day at a vending machine. The moment had lasted maybe two minutes but it had been enough for Seonghwa to realize their pack wasnât complete yet- not without you, the little omega who apologized while bowing before sprinting off. That small moment had sent Seonghwa into his rut a month early just from running into you for the first time ever.
Hongjoong had known something was wrong when his older pack mate had returned to their practice room that day immediately pouncing on Mingi for a release from their omega. Seonghwa was never too feral or crazed- so when that night had ended in Hongjoong slamming his knot into Seonghwa while he knotted a desperate whining Mingi in return, while the rest of their members surrounded. He knew something had set him off. And he knew it had something to do with the unfamiliar omega scent on Seonghwaâs jacket that was fleeting and absolutely delicious. It smelled like theirs. And had left even the most docile members sniffing at his jacket desperately.
After that night the pack had their manager figure out who you were- from your name all the way to your parentâs history. They knew everything. And most importantly they knew you were their missing piece. So, of course they needed you to join Ateez. That way they could ease you into their pack! And if you werenât willing, well their pack alphas knew exactly how to handle stubborn bratty omegas.Â
Hongjoongâs eyes were shining blood red as he prevented air from flowing through your throat with a crazed look, kissing your forehead gently as if he wasnât choking you. You gasped helplessly, squirming and eyes filled with tears as the boys surrounding you watched you succumb to unconsciousness. Hongjoong admired how pretty you looked, tears in your eyes and desperately trying to escape his hold. The last thing you remember hearing is a husky voice, whispering in your ear before everything went dark and your body going limp under him.
âIâm tired of you pretending youâre not ours.â
