It was this - this concise razor of a summary that cut him deepest. He did love that Sarah didn’t tolerate subpar things in her life. She was exceptional, and if someone or something wasn’t meeting the standard she set, she wouldn’t hesitate to turn away from them. He just never thought he’d fall into that category.

8. Who does what chores, and why?
Quinn almost always cooks. He has a stricter diet and more free time than Sarah. She always cleans up after. She's far more of a neat freak than he is. For Nico & Lena, it's the opposite because Lena enjoys cooking. Also, she feels a bit like she has to pay him back for letting her live with him without paying rent. She usually cleans as she cooks, so there aren't that many dishes for him to do, but Nico always clears the table and cleans the kitchen after they eat a meal together.
When he's home, Quinn makes the bed. Nico also takes this task because Lena thinks it's a bit of a waste. Why make the bed when you're going to get right back into it that night?
17. Who decides which movies to watch?
98% of the time, if they're watching a movie, Sarah decides. Especially during the season, Quinn doesn't really like to make decisions. It's a rare day that she'll put something on, and he'll request something else. About half the time, he falls asleep with his head on her shoulder/in her lap anyway.
21. Who is better at games? Does the loser take it graciously?
Lena is actually very good at card & board games, but she's not ultra competitive like Nico is. Some nights, she'll throw the game just so she doesn't have to listen to him huffing and puffing about losing. Nico never takes losing graciously, especially if he feels like he had a fair shot to win. Usually, by the time they're crawling into bed, he's over it, but it can be a rough few hours before then.
40. What do they do when they miss one another? Is one more needy than the other?
Sarah misses Quinn most at night. She's a busy gal, so missing him is kind of pushed away until she's still.
Quinn misses her in the morning, usually. When he's on the road, he has more time in the morning. Those are the still moments for him.
They often call to just hear each other's voices. They talk on her commute to school/work, and they talk after a game. If he has a free night, They’ll usually talk for a long time after dinner.
Nico and Lena miss each other most in the summer. In the season, a few days or a week apart here and there are fine. It's easy to stand a week apart when you know you'll see the person you're missing soon.
When they really miss each other, though, is when Nico goes home. It's the longest stretch of time they've been apart since getting together. Missing someone and knowing you won't see them for a month? That's much, much harder.
When they're apart, they look forward to being back together and call each other whenever can. When they're not on the phone, they often send each other messages. Texting and sexting over various apps and through multiple conversations. It leads to some funny inside jokes.
In the summer, they schedule time to FaceTime and watch things together. Usually an episode of Love Island. These watch parties always take place at weird times thanks to the time change. Early morning for Lena and lunch time for Nico. Or lunchtime for Lena and dinner time for Nico. They tried dinner time for Lena, but Nico ended up falling asleep since it was past midnight where he was. Lena spent way too long just sitting on the phone listening to his steady breathing, wishing they weren't so far apart. When it's not too late for either of them, these watch parties almost always devolve into phone sex, whatever they were watching long forgotten.

Outfits in my writing are usually ideas I have in my mind that I sometimes go on the hunt to find in real life to make sure they exist. For her shoes, I wanted them to be VERY strappy to allow for maximum teasing, so I started hunting for strappy heels then for designer strappy heels because Clayton is who he is. As for the robe, I just wanted something soft and flowy in Utah Mammoth blue, so I just searched until I found one I liked.
