was it really? yes there have been wars; but have you learned of the aftermaths of each of them? our country has not been founded on violence or else it would have never become one; it was founded on freedom and the sacred ideals that we americans hold true. yes, he got shot but he got shot because of the racial prejudice and his unpopular opinion not because he was peacefully protesting; and was his movement successful WITHOUT violence? yes. and are you going to say that all Americans have worked, all our flag has represented throughout the ages, is no longer a fitting emblem? yes i understand it is entirely wrong; but i feel this whole movement has just been sparked by the media and people who are desiring to incite fear and violence. racial inequality is something that does need to be fixed but by hurting and destroying, nothing will be solved, except bring more pain to others.
