My Paracentensis (fluid drain) appointment got moved to today because my platelets were still low; they think the low low platelets and low sodium/ electrolytes were causing my falls last week. Here’s a picture of all the salty platelet smorgasbord going through my veins, then they can finally remove all of this fluid (I wonder how full it will be this time)?! Feeling much better on my second day at #sharpmemorial - I had a blood transfusion and some platelets, and I’m about to get a drainage pump inserted today so I can drain my abdomen myself; and then at some point (I think) I’m supposed to have an ultrasound. On the plus side my bruises are healing well from the several falls I had this week, and Dr. Vlad has a plan for me to stay alive for the next few months at least.
