Linnaeus had known the leave would be a short one, just a few days while the ship resupplied. All the same, standing in the elevator with his brother and Dius, he could still admit he was sad to see the days end.
At least it had been fun for the most part, he thought. Mav carried their bags, both what they'd taken with them and what they'd brought back. Not counting what they were wearing, of course. With no official uniforms to change into yet, they had each chosen one of the new outfits. Linnaeus in soft jeans and a black shirt under a sage-green sweater. Mav had also gone with a black under-layer, but he'd picked the sweater with small foxes at all the hems.
The Wanderer gave a big yawn without bothering to cover his mouth as the elevator came to a stop on the floor of their make-shit barracks.
