INKTOBER: XI #snow Story time! Once, back in the medieval times, there was a captive princess named Gilda, in an Algarvian prison (Portugal). Her beauty was of such greatness that the king Ibn-Almundim released her and slowly gained her trust. They got married and lived happily... Untill one day princess Gilda fell suddenly ill. An old captive man told the king she was homesick and missed the snow from her distant country. Algarve having such a hot weather could never have snow, so the king ordered thousands of almond trees to be planted around the castle. He took his beloved Gilda to the terrace. When she saw the snow-white blanket of petals, the princess got immediately better. And thus, every year they awaited patiently for Spring to arrive, for the almond trees would then blossom and resemble snow once more. I dunno why but I've always loved this story!
