Him? Her words lift his brows high, and paint him with a rather clownish expression of amusement, his lips casting into a smile.Â
âOh, Princess,â He sounds drunkâabsolutely consumed by something, even though his veins are as pure and clean as the day he was born. Alcohol doesnât even lick his skin the way the flames of her aura burn him.Â
The only person standing in your way is youâŚÂ
Why, had he knownâhad he been aware that she had only been counting the minutes until his self control broke, he wouldâve violated all of his rules regarding professionalism (rules that he followed liberally) months before.
His fingers fit beneath her chin, even though heâs never had issues holding her focus, and his tongue darts out to wet his lips, eyes just as cool as his façade boring into her own ivy green irises. Isnât she striking?Â
âDonât you know?â He begins with a smile, fingers falling from her chin, only for his hand to cup her cheek and bring her closer. His other hand falls along her back and drags her up against him, until the only thing separating skin against skin (besides his quickly failing barrier of control) is their clothing.Â
He doesnât kiss her, though their lips nearly brush, and with one sigh, he could easily bring them together. Control or not, Tahno loves to tease, and heâd leave the breaking to her. âIt takes two to stand still.â
His words are heavy and smooth. But the way her term of endearment pours off his tongue lulls her subconscious and makes his lips seem oh so tempting.Â
It was almost as though he was testing her:Â teasing her. Their relationship was a tight line of tension stretched way beyond its limits, always being pinched, pulled, and twisted. Their relationship was twisted.Â
He's sin dipped in dark chocolate.
Asami is never one to fall into a clichĂŠ, for she is always the one starting the trend. Business partners stay business partners, however, the current situation is anything but professional; the way his fingers linger along her cheek, the way he draws her against him, the way his devious quirk of the lips promise a scandal she canât afford.Â
âIt takes two to stand still.â
Tahno invites danger, but Asami canât resist.Â
Lidded eyes lift in slow, calculated movements, âThen what are you waiting for,â she would play his game, but according to her rules, âPretty Boy?âÂ
She is never the one to settle.Â
