it's so gross i'm like uncomfortably giggling to myself
on a less self centred note
tonight was a fun party. it was weird not knowing that many people but i really tried (and i think, did well) at meeting people (it always reminds me of the time clare said i'd be an excellent plus one because i'm fairly outgoing when i want to be and i'm friendly and can hold a conversation with virtually anyone - thank you 7 years of retail). i kind of forgot how many people i wouldn't know, it was a strange experience.Â
i didn't really drink and i drove once i was happy i was safe to drive and i'm so exhausted. it was really nice to see so many people there for clare - she's the best friend i've made through uni and i wish i'd remembered my card for her. in the absence of getting to tell the whole world how i feel, i want her to know. still, there's always next time i see her which is probably in 2-3 days. one speech was MEAN i'm so mad with the girl who gave it as it is, and now i'm extra mad.Â
clare's family are fantastic and tonight was no exception. her mum invited me to come and chat to her if i "couldn't find anyone" to hang out with and clare's brothers as we all know are the absolute best. personal highlights were one brother getting shitfaced, another delivering the best 21st speech ever and the third and youngest trying to sneak off with a beer while his older brother caught him and told him off.Â
happy birthday anyway clare, thank you for being my friend and for the past two years of our combined craziness - here's hoping there's many more to come. may 21 be your year, make the most of it <3Â

cute aisling/clare moment of the day: talking to a boy about my best friend from high school, but just referred to her as my "best friend" and he automatically assumed i was talking about clare for about 5 minutes until i had to clarify.
clare literally left melbourne this morning and i'm already not coping without her
and adam has been gone for what feels like forever but it's just one more week
i need my friends and they're off having poopy stinkin' lives the bastards
