Are you done with writing fanfiction? At least on fanfiction. net?
Hm, to be totally and completely honest, I probably am. This might sound really odd, but I don’t know who Percy and Annabeth are anymore. I’ve come to love the AU’s more than the actual book versions of them. I don’t like reading the HoO series, and I feel like they’re not the Percy and Annabeth that I loved anymore. Maybe I would still be writing fanfiction if it had all ended at The Last Olympian. Maybe I wouldn’t. I also only read Maydayparade123’s fanfic now, and I think a part of it is due to the fact that I love her Percy and Annabeth. I don’t love or truly even know the real Percy and Annabeth.
Additionally, I actually really don’t have time with school and whatnot. I seriously don’t, especially with me going back to dance again and having executive positions for them as well. I feel like.. When I write now, I want to write about things that I truly care about, and that’s no longer PJO for me. If I were to go back and work on OTD or any other piece, I would want it to be with my own characters and more flushed out. I have felt the writing bug here and there, and I have written a couple personal things. So, am I done with writing altogether? No. Am I done with writing fanfiction, for the time being, probably.
I’m really sorry, but I need to do what’s best for me. Plus, I don’t think I could even produce anything good at this point because I simply am no longer invested in Percy and Annabeth. —On another tangent, I feel as though I’ve outgrown PJO in some ways, but that’s a discussion for the next time I answer a question.
