Honestly though, they’re good. They’re exactly the type of pancakes I’d go to a diner for, and it’s a perfect recipe if you need to get rid of a lot of buttermilk very quickly.

If you’re newer to pancake making like I am, or wanting to make multiple at a time, I’d suggest using 1/4 cup scoops as I had a bit of difficulty cooking without a bit of burning on the 1/2 cup scoops BURYGOLD suggested in their recipe. And you get to build the Pancake Mountain.

But they’re a great pancake recipe for larger social gatherings, or, more likely, to stockpile your fridge as you slowly ration through the Mountain you’ve made... 

Or you could be more sensible than me and use the “Adjust” function on the website to slim the recipe down for the amount you want.

Overall, I’d give this recipe a solid 4/5 maple leaves, losing a point in score as nothing in life has terrified me more than trying not to spill when I combined the dry and wet ingredients, filling my largest mixing bowl to its brim with batter - and I have clinical depression.

So that’s impressive.
