well, for them to fall that fast i’d assume you’d just have a large amount of force pushing the bombs down. because things don’t really fall in space so much as they /move/. the only thing that doesn’t actually make sense is their acceleration – because things don’t accelerate (in a vacuum like space) unless they have some sort of way to /continuously/ propel them forwards

BUT ANYWAY. we can assume that maybe the bombs have some sort of internal mechanism propelling them forwards jOB DONE.

Just wanna add in something, it is said in the visual dictionary that each of the small bombs operates on magnetics - not only are the bombs lowered to push them down, there’s magnetics built in to make sure they are pulled towards the target

ASSASSINATION OF DOCTOR GALEN ERSO ‘A LIE’

This week, the Emperor’s Office published reports of a Rebel strike on an Imperial Engineering research outpost on the planet of Eadu. It is feared over thirty Imperial Personnel manning the outpost were killed in the attack. Whilst five more are currently unaccounted for.

According to the report, the attack, which was carried out by Incom T-65 X-Wing fighters, culminated in the death of research engineer Galen Erso. 

Doctor Galen Erso,  a revolutionary scientist, two-time recipient of the Kuat Systems Engineering Medal,  and Roche Foundation Prize Winner, joined the Imperial Science Division twenty years ago, and was thought to have been working on Project Celestial Power — an initiative to produce limitless clean energy for our developing and legacy worlds. 

In a clandestine interview, I spoke with General Davits Draven ( @allianceintel ) about the event:

DT: General, Deena Tharen with the HoloNet News. What can you say about alleged reports of a rebel attack on Eadu? And what of the reports coming from the Emperor's office that Galen Erso has been assassinated?

DD: “I would kindly remind you that the Emperor is a liar, and has always been.”

I was summarily and remorselessly informed, that  “The Emperor is a liar.”  This statement of condemnation and denial comes as many families across the galaxy are grieving over the loss of loved ones, many of whom were non-combatants. 

And in the wake of yet another horrific and cowardly act, the so-called Rebel Alliance refuses to participate in political discourse, a key step in ensuring no further innocents perish as a result of collateral combat. And instead, not only denies its involvement but denies the attack happened at all. The only question now, is who will be blamed?

Kallus jolted awake with a shudder. He couldn’t remember what the nightmare had been about, but his nerves sang with residual adrenaline. It was enough that normally he would’ve climbed out of bed and accepted the loss of sleep. He shifted to do as such before he was halted by a tickle of breath at the nape of his neck.

With a smile, Kallus became aware of his surroundings. Particularly the warm body he was pressed against on a mattress not designed for two grown men. Glad that there was still an arm draped over him, he idly entwined his fingers in Draven’s. Kallus studied their hands, somewhat relieved that color was drained in the dim light before pulling the hand up to gently kiss Draven’s worn, rough knuckles.

            If he hadn’t left, hadn’t wandered away as soon as the temple guards were distracted, would he be like the others now? They had all vanished, gone from the temple. His friends, where had they gone? He could see the fire from the market, the glow a stain against the already lit sky. Cassian had run, legs carrying him as quickly as they could, one hand still closed tightly around the blue-grey crystal that no one had noticed him steal. It was wrong to steal, he knew that, but it was as if he couldn’t stop himself. It was his. When he arrived, the halls were empty save for the flames and a man he did not recognize.

I do wanna point out tho it actually does pass the test - Holdo and Leia have a conversation right before Leia goes on the transport - Leia says she can’t lose anyone else, Holdo says she’s strong enough to handle it because she taught Holdo how to and then they say may the force be with you before their separation - it’s still not much but to be fair to what is done in the film, they actually do pass the test with that scene

           He’s in hot water, and has sense enough to know it. An IMPERIAL SECURITY DROID was now sitting on his ship. The ship that the Alliance had just recently trusted him enough to let him call it his own. Well, it likely wouldn’t be his for much longer, and the droid would likely be destroyed as soon as they’d gotten any information it’s data banks still held. He’d just been given the rank of lieutenant, and he’d be lucky if he wasn’t busted back down to trooper for this. Even Mon Mothma had given him a look of disappointment.
