The weather was warming up which, evidently, wasn’t Gray’s thing. His tolerance to cold had been built up over a long time, heat, on the other hand, was a little harder for him to cope with. He grabbed the collar of his shirt and shook it out, resisting the urge to slip it from his torso.
Maybe he could find some frozen treats somewhere or something. Scratching the nape of his neck, he slipped into the grocery store to buy a packet of frozen icy pops. Leaving the store, he opened the box, with one hand, clearly not paying attention to where he was walking.
The head of blonde hair only came into his sight when it was too late, the both of them colliding. Fortunately, they both seemed to keep their footing, Gray grabbing the other’s shoulder to make sure he didn’t fall. “Ah, sorry.” He quickly apologized, “Here, have one of these as my apology.” Taking out on of the icy pops, he held it out to the boy.
