modern au alistair is one of those british kid minecraft youtubers with less than a hundred subscribers who make absolutely insane redstone contraptions and videos explaining them that you have to try to follow along because your server needs an automated farm but you dont know how to even make a circut so you heed his every word like hes a prophet speaking sacred text through the worlds worst laptop mic.
i think alistair commissioned the warlocks' matching robes and handed them out from big cardboard boxes at a meeting like they were t shirts printed with their club's cool new logo
this is soo true. im assuming bill has his own flag design because that feels like a very piratey thing to me but yeah all the robes have bills emblem embroidered over the heart and alistair is so proud of them! they took him 3 months to save up for but it was totally worth it. i think he put himself in charge of managerial work like that because hes the most enthusiastic about the whole thing and somebodys gotta care about logistics and stuff. he has a spreadsheet with everyones cloak size written on one of his parchments. also im pretty sure alistair is the only teenaged warlock we meet?? or at least the only one specificly pointed out to be a teenager so he is just this incredibly bubbly 16 y/o organizing a newsletter for a bunch of pirates reminding them about how the deadline for dues is coming up but also be sure to come to the next meeting because hes making pasta salad!! :)

OHOHOH this is a great ask. i have many thoughts head full about food as a love language on leviathan. i think even in the show theres tons of examples you could pull (cathildas cookies for fabian, the oranges in the friendship section, marcid sneaking bread to the kenku family etc etc!!). thats all to say i think food/cooking is really important to alistair. is he an excellent cook? probably not. but he knows enough to be able to make something thats warm and filling and he can give to the people he cares about! food is something to eat sure. but its also hard to come by so cooking for others is a message thats like! “hey!! im pouring hours into something to show you how much i care about you! i cant afford nice ingredients but we can eat it together!! tear off a chunk of this bread!! lets both eat well!!”. remember when he waited in a torrential thunderstorm to buy sandwiches for a group of people he met half an hour ago. yeah <3
