17th Nov 2014: Indomitable Spirit of Goodness. Obama said it about Abdul-Rahman Kassig. 19th November 2014: Nobody Waits. Anselm Kiefer said it about people in general. 20th November 2014: The most delightful people you will ever meet in your life. It’s a quote from the film Lost In Translation. The Murray character is telling the Johansson character about how shitty and hard it is having children. And then he says that they turn out to be the most delightful people you will ever meet in your life. I feel the same. 22nd November 2014: Mr S asked me to get him a pipe from a charity shop. Not. 8th Nov: Gag. Odd word. In this case it refers to a so-called gagging order, and not a joke. It had been placed upon a woman, who had been forced out of the BBC, so she couldn’t talk about how they treat older women. 9th November: 25 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall. 10th November. Football. Out of the 552 top coaching positions in the English League, only 19 were held by black coaches. In contrast, a quarter of the top players were black. I could well be wrong, but I doubt it has changed much.
