i know, right? so have i, but i saw it on my dash that Stefan died then somebody told me that Stefan is alive and Damon’s the one dead and i was like wtaf i’ve dedicated so much time to this show so they’d end up killing Damon??? even though I’ve stopped watching it , i still care about Damon bc c’mon, it’s Damon. Look how Julie Plec is so desperate for audience, she just killed the two most important characters in the whole freaking show. and answering your question Stefan died first then Damon went to the other side to save Stefan but the spell got stopped before he could come back through and as result Stefan is alive and Damon is dead but he probably will come back because that’s what Julie Plec does, she brings everyone back but Alaric  wait, i've been told that Alaric is back
