aw man, I wish I had time to like draw the li’l frog again!! but thank you so much ali! I’m incredibly late to the response aaaaa kkjsdfjk I’ve had a couple of social engagements this week as well so I’ve been all kinds of out of sorts trying to keep up with everything. I am crap at balancing work and rest so i’m like trying to catch up on my sleep during my commute lmao its been wild lately because I’m out here trying to meet all deadlines + uni work and to make art (which i love A LOT but HATE that I don’t have enough time to do which makes me so mad tbh!) I have a couple of beaujes wip ideas and some more shadowgast i wanna do, and I wanna draw that scene of cad meeting his family…. but I dont have the time like do you ever wish you had like 48 hours in a day and never felt tired??? bc i am perpetually tired and I cant shake off the feeling that I’m constantly running out of time because I really like the stuff that I’ve been reading for uni lately and I have ideas I want to draw and things I want to write…. all at the same time… I want to be able to learn and create and multitask intensely (+ consume content) and make the most of every damn second I have, at times like these its so overwhelming to love everything so much that you feel inadequate as a person and your bodily needs start to feel like a goddamn prison.
like I’ll give you an idea of what it’s like in my head right now: I’m reading up on north-east indian literature for class (and a reading list I am excited to make my way through) and there’s so much happening in it that I’m getting this intense desire to illustrate scenes from that book and at the same time I want to draw the shadowgast ideas I have and I haven’t made a beaujes in a long time!! I drew a rough outline of the beaujes I wanna do and i’m thinking about it while also thinking about how there’s more where that “shadowgast at same uni” came from. so I wanna draw that as well. Meanwhile, I have to read up on maori culture for a paper i want to write for a class and I’m excited for that as well and god emotional whiplash right the fuck now because I’m thinking about Cad’s reunion with his family which i ALSO want to illustrate and I want to watch Monsterhearts because I’ve heard SUCH good thing about it and I also want to reply to all these messages that have piled up in my inbox– all these incredible concepts and ideas people have sent that I havent had time to reply to because I want to be engage with those concepts fully when I have proper time, I have fics I want to read as well and friends I need to catch up with, I haven’t been to the essek server in a week maybe more and I haven’t talked to friends there!! I also feel guilty about that, I have those colour palette art prompts I want to draw and also a couple of commissions i need to finish asap so its… its a lot going on man, I feel inadequate and exhausted and guilty for feeling exhausted and my brain feels like I’m running as fast as I can but i’m also falling behind this is… exhausting oof this became a word vomit oof, sorry about that I just… i didn’t realize it was so noisy in my head until i wrote it all down here and idk if I’m still forgetting anything so like… oof.
