Our Future Reflections of Tomorrow
The key idea behind this project is to connect; to make a connection between raw divinity and the human idea of God, and with its interpretation to the future. We strive to free our minds, and aim at dreams and visions. As a means of expression, Alienjedna uses acrylic colours together with cybernetic world imagery. Peter Mašek speaks with the language of cyberpunk directly, he materialises his thoughts right in 3D programmes, and then prints them out on “canvases”. So the main question is, “Do androids really dream of electric sheep?”
Alienjedna Born 1981
His work oscillates between painting and a stage approach to matter and light. After graduating from a school of ceramics, he shifted his focus onto new technologies of processing ideas. His main emphasis is on imagination. In his works, he often penetrates the deepest levels of unconsciousness, which allows him to find a way to other styles and new dimensions. His creations speak to us in an ambiguous voice, they make us reflect upon ourselves, our innermost selves, our beings, our common future, ruled by technology. The definition of humankind in a space altered by technology has gradually become the central idea his work revolves around. He tries to capture fleeting moments of divine presence in matter. Predominantly, his works have been on display at alternative festivals.
Since 2005, he has been using the UV active paint airbrush technique Since 2012, he has been creating UV active bodypainting www.cybernetic-system.com
Peter Mašek Born 1986
The artist’s main places of activity are Prague and Eastern Slovakia. He draws the inspiration for his work from the beauty of the two landscapes as well as from people’s stories, word plays and philosophical texts. He translates these stimuli into the language of visual symbols that he uses to tell his own stories. Having worked with the 3D modelling technology professionally for several years, he has adopted it in his creative works, too. Among other creative media used by Peter are digital painting and photography. His position is close to surrealism, mainly thanks to its rich visual world and subconscious ways of artistic expression. Within a short span of his artistic career, Peter’s works have been shown at collective exhibitions and competitions, mostly in Eastern Slovakia.
