In #NYC, families with children are the largest percentage of those experiencing #homelessness. Today 400 parents and children experiencing #homelessness were treated to a free screening of @hiddenfiguresmovie. #HiddenFigures is a story of overcoming the most impossible of odds and greatest of barriers to be who society and the world said you couldn't and did all in their power to prevent. It was my honor to serve alongside my colleagues in helping at this most special event. When you pray and as you fight for #justice, please remember all those in our city, country and world that are dealing with issues of #poverty. Poverty is no one's birthright! With God, may we, against all odds, eradicate poverty and all rise together! @kevincostnermodernwest's character (#AlHarrison) would say to @tarajiphenson's character (#KatherineJohnson) when contemplating the possibilities of space travel: "I am already there." When it comes to eradicating poverty nationally and internationally, I am already there! We are already there in terms of living in a world without poverty!
