I had my birthday a week ago, but I will try my luck with any interesting tidbit about Terminate - that card that made me to create my fist deck after a year or two of backseat gaming MtG during breaks at school. Thanks!

The card came about because we were thinking of super short rules text for gold cards. I really wish the anti-regeneration text wasn’t there.

Wasn't that part of Church doctrine since Pius XII? #notjustfrancisthing?

Sort of. I mean, Pious XII stated that there was no opposition between evolution and church doctorine in the 50's. Then John Paul II reiterated the statement in the 90's... But then Benedict and certain others were all about Intelligent design and endorsed it with statements like “Evolution in the sense of common ancestry might be true, but evolution in the neo-Darwinian sense — an unguided, unplanned process … is not." (Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, New York Times 2005)

The cool thing about Pope Francis' statement, isn't that he reiterates a (occasionally murky) church statement about faith not being at odds with science. It is that his statement doesn't have a place for Intelligent Design or Young Earth Creationism to hide. The Big Bang happened. Evolution via natural selection did, and still does, happen. Period.
