Kealen has remarkably good health. He didn’t get sick often as a child and a bit of a neat freak because of it.

The first time Kealen saw snow he was awestruck by how crisp and pretty it looked. He ran outside with only a light jacket on and a flashlight. Because of how deep the snow was he fell down only a few steps outside. When his dad picked him up to carry him back inside Kealen flashed the light over their footsteps, amaze with how the light looked on the snow.

Send ✿ for a HAPPINESS headcanon.

Happiness was one of those emotions Kealen was never sure he’d ever truly felt. Until the first time his family came to visit him at the sanitarium. It wasn’t caused by seeing his parents, who he only felt a distant feeling of fondness for, but because of the blur of black hair and bright eyes that changed at him and hugged him as hard as she could. Despite the setting and painted cage he was in, Kealen felt happy. Happy to see Isabel. Happy that she was happy to see him.

More often than not, Kealen finds himself absently stroking over the scars on his fingertips. It normally happens when he’s lost in thought or reading a good book.

Since moving from home to Harvard things haven’t gone as well as he’d like. It’s left him feels less in control than normal. It’s not a feeling he deals with well and it’s starting to take a toll on his moods, emotions and control.

Kealen has never been in love. Not once. Rationally he knows love is a chemical reaction in the brain but the emotional tug is something he wonders about it on occasion.  What it would feel like to get lost completely in someone else.
