Day 75: What is one of the best dreams you have ever had
To see The basketball player now Alaska head coach Alex Compton.. Sound just an ordinary dream but to dream to see him and to wait until nine long years its just a dream come true to me..
Day 17: Your Idol and why you look up to them
Alex Compton. An American basketball player went to the Philippines to play in the MBA. Since I was nine years old I look up to him so much. I followed his whole career playing and now he is currently a head coach in the premier league in the Philippines. Though I only see him twice in personal and we don’t meet up close. I like him so much. I grew up knowing him as my inspiration in the sense that aside of being one of the best players during his playing career he is also known for being a good hearted man. He helps a lot and he’s everywhere.
Aside from my Christian Living teacher he’s’ the one who let me become close to God.. the way he reach out to his fans regarding as a Christian makes me also realized that my faith in God should be enriched and have a deeper relationship to Jesus..
He also is a winner. So as a person I make sure that I’m too will become a winner too... In school I wanted to get awards and always aim for the best. I always strive hard in my studies.
And lastly if there is one person who taught me how to wait. It is Coach Alex Compton. Since in 1999 I always wish to see him in personal but due to MBA not playing in Araneta Coliseum it’s hard for me to watched provincial game but there is one provincial game that they actually play in our province yet so very UNFORTUNATELY for me Compton is out of the country because of some emergency that is year 2002.. Fast forward to year 2007 He is then allowed to play in the PBA as a special import and PBA games usually held in Araneta Coliseum so I had now the chance to see him. After nine years I finally see him in person.
